Is the DS change a bit silly?

DS should not be meant to guarantee safety. Chases are taking too long so reducing the stun time makes a lot of sense. With borrowed time basekit giving you at minimum 5 seconds of invulnerability plus a speed boost you should be able to get yourself pretty close to a pallet, window, or other structure to use after using DS even with the reduced stun. If you go down in a dead zone that was your mistake.
Deactivating during endgame has nothing to do with the reduced stun time. The stun time deals with the midgame and the deactivation deals with the endgame and the fact that DS guaranteed an escape with no counter. This is a healthy change.

Tunnelling is problematic earlier in the trials because it robs survivors of a chance to even play the game. Tunnelling during EGC isn't really a thing. It's just the last chase to the exit gates. What else should you doing at that point?

It is not. It feels completely miserable to lose a kill in endgame solely because of a perk, and knowing that you can't do anything about it. Maybe Nurse or Blight if the gate is far enough. Not sure about the stun time, 5 seconds feels forever, true, but 3 seconds kinda feels too low for some killers, and still too much for average M1s.

OTR will not make to live, i am pretty sure. Perk is looks so busted, so it will has really short time (which will make it useless because basekit BT) or they will make it to back old version.
So with nerfed DS and without OTR, game will be tunnel fest.

I think the stun duration needs to be reverted. Also remove the skill check it's literally only there to make it unusable to newer players (which also play where most hardcore tunnelers are)

most of you wont remember but DS was buffed to compensate for enduring. then when they "changed" enduring they never changed DS back. so this is back to the standard 3 seconds stun that was around before enduring was changed.

deactivation nerf was needed, its literally a free escape if held till then. The stun is weird, but ill have to see it in action before I can judge it really.

I'm a bit confused about the Stun change, as well.
I'd imagine, though, that much like Self-Care, the reality of the perk's effective usage/stats is probably different than community perception.
It could also have been nerfed due to the addition of innate anti-tunnel mechanics.
With Dev clarification....we'll never know T_T
