Why? It's not even that good of a perk anymore.

It only lets the killer know your general area. It's not that strong nor is it run very much compared to other perks. The only time it can be a problem is when the killer closes the hatch and you're trying to open the gate, but in that instance, you basically used up all of your chances of escape and are not entitled to an easy gate opening.

Whispers means a 0% chance at a gate opening. That's the problem!
Either the gates are close enough together for the killer to stand in the middle, or far enough apart that they only need to stay near the gate that has Whispers active.
The game shifts when there is only 1 remaining survivor. Perks like Whisper, No Way Out, and NOED ######### all over this.
Keys were removed for a reason. Time for these perks to stop auto-killing the last survivor.

I like Whispers, it helps you get into a chase quickly in the beginning and helps you track the last survivor at the end. Considering finding the last survivor is literally half the point of using the perk in the first place there’s no way that should be removed.

Why do you deserve to have yet another chance when you and your team failed at your objective? Your team failed to remain alive long enough to at least power up the doors and they failed to have enough people live long enough to work on the door and loop the killer. You also failed to find the hatch before the killer.
Also, did they remove keys? I didn’t see any news on the front. The last thing I heard about them was that they require an unlocking animation in order to work. You can also run Plunderers to get an increased chance at finding a key and you can bring in an offering to know where the hatch will spawn. You also have perks that can speed up the opening of the exit gates.
You had plenty of chances. You’re not entitled to more.

When the hatch is closed, you have two exit gates, all you have to do as killer is stand near the gate that whispers is LIT up on. then u find them pretty easily. its almost impossible to screw it up at that point.
for the sake of keeping the game fairer and more fun, it should be switched off at last survivor. the survivor dosent stand a chance, unless the killer themselves is blind and death.

Killer has already won the game if they killed your three teammates and closed the hatch before you found it.
It’s not a 100% win. You have perks that speed up the opening of the gate. You can wait by he gate and let the killer close the hatch and get a good start at unlocking them. If you’re so desperate to escape you can bring in a key or run plunderers.

Why would I use Whispers over Lethal Pursuer if it doesn’t help with the endgame? Especially with the incoming buff to Lethal Pursuer.

Keys haven't been removed they've just been fixed to actually allow 1 person out through the hatch when 1 person is left alive. It's doing it's job.
If you wait too long and you see no way out appear that's your fault for waiting so long. If the killer is hovering around the gate you're at leave. Whispers goes off? They go to other gate they think you're going too and that's when you make your move on the original gate.
Noed? Do bones. That perk has been stated by the devs to be "a punishment" for focusing on gens and not other objectives. Maps and perks are there to destroy bones not to mention you can boon over a hex. Yes it takes a bit longer so there's the option to cleanse it or just stop it before it appears.

What's the problem exactly? The killer is bringing a perk that really only shines in a really specfic end game situation.
Plus the situation you are complaining about is meant to favor the killer so it's not like the perk is changing that much.
Just accept the loss and move on.

stand by hatch, wait for survivor to set off your whispers, close hatch, follow whispers to which ever door they go to.

You seem confused aswell. im talking about how it should be fun for both sides. i used to use whispers all the time. it dosent just favour, like the reasons i pointed out, it literally gets you the kill like almost every single time. like i said, you have to be insanely bad to not get the kill at that point.
all you have to do is look at your screen and see whispers go off and follow it.

Whispers being a win-more perk is why I run it (when I do). It's obviously not strong when 4 survivors are alive, being just a way worse Lethal Pursuer because it kind of helps finding the first survivor and then is perpetually on until survivors start to die.
In fact, Whispers used to be run a lot more before Discordance and later Lethal Pursuer released because it was the best perk for finding the first survivor. Now its main utility is being a good endgame perk.
I'm surprised you made this thread about Whispers and not about No Way Out.

If that were the case, NOED would only activate when the last gen is finished, not from the killer simply closing hatch.
Even if all I did from the very start was hunt down and cleanse totems, while my team was overaltruistic and suicidal in their hook trading or straight gave up on hook, how is it that the killer still gets NOED? Why am I "punished for gen rushing" when there are still 5 gens remaining??
Solo Q is a Fog Damned disaster of a Hunger Games show. A solo survivor cannot rely on teammates; only on the hatch and exit gates (even those have bad RNG), and that's before killer perks shut that down and grant the "easy mode" that arguments here are so against.

Whispers is barely seen, and honestly it could be basekit. The whole point of Whispers in 90% of the cases is to pinpoint a specific survivor who's Urban Evasion'ing their way around the map.

Defending exit gates is literally the ONLY time Whispers is a genuinely strong perk.

Whispers' endgame niche should be for when the killer stomps so hard that the last two survivors have a stealth-stand-off for hatch.
It shouldn't be the nail in the coffin that it is now.
Getting the gate open without Whispers in play is hard enough as it is.

Ah yes a survivor calling killer perks easy mode...
In solo q you have to rely on yourself. If your teammates are that bad let it happen and think of possible plays for hatch. If you are really worried you can always run left behind and hide a key in a corner of the map.
You're complaining about whispers, a perk that helps find surviors. It's doing it's job. Perks that keep track of the killer off the top of my head are Alert, Object of Obsession, Spine Chill and kindred.
At what point is the killer allowed to win? They got the perks for the endgame protection and tracking why shouldn't you face the challenge? Killers face the challenge of going against 4 different people.
