Remove Map Offerings, Add Map Selection
Map Offerings
- Map Offerings that affect which realm you go to have been removed from both the Survivor and Killer inventories.
- All Survivors and Killers will be compensated with 100,000 Bloodpoints per offering they have in their inventories.
New Mechanic: Map Selection
Map Selection is a new menu function that grants Survivors and Killers the ability to select their preferred map.
- The map selection menu is placed underneath the Loadout menu for ease of access, and can be used whenever you are either in a lobby or in your character selection.
While in a public lobby, when the match is about to start, every player will have their preferred map then put into a Map Pool, where the map will be randomly selected between one of the multiple different maps that each player has selected. This grants the players to have the ability to see which map they will be sent to and have a fair chance at preparing for their Trial equally.
The Map Pool will begin selecting the maps at the 15 second mark, and the map will be selected at the 5 second mark.
However, if there are multiple duplicate maps in the same Map Pool, the duplicate maps will be discarded until only one remains, and the Map Pool will be reduced in size as a result.
Additionally...
- Due to the potential of using exploits or undesirable methods in order to leave your potential match early to "avoid the undesirable map", the following actions will now result in a disconnect penalty being applied:
- Exiting the game or lobby when there are 5 seconds remaining on the countdown timer.
- Exiting the game during the offering or loading screen.
- Exiting the game during the panoramic shot of the Survivor or Killer.
This is to ensure that players don't try to ragequit and leave just because they didn't get their way, without getting punished heavily for it.

I definitely disagree, we'll be playing the same few favorite maps all the time. I've never liked the system to select a map / to vote for a map in other games and I'm pretty glad DbD doesn't have it, too. Maybe we could consider removing map offerings altogether but not replacing them with a map selection or voting system.
P.S.: 100.000 BP per map offering holy ######### xDD People will get tons and tons of BP. That's ridiculous.
