Whom am I playing against?

Hello

Recently I've bought myself a copy of this game and decided to play some games as a survivor. I've played ~10 games and each second game I met killers who were just pressing LMB during the whole match. What were they doing this for? Were they bots? If so, does it violate rules of the game and may I report them?

    Those are bots and you can absolutely report them.

    What were they doing this for?

    probably to lower their MMR for when they play later. Also maybe to get XP for shards and rift fragments
