Inner healing should not be able to heal someone if their DS is activated

Member Posts: 39

The entire thing about DS is that you can't do certain actions (like healing yourself) so why can inner healing still heal someone with DS and have DS be active?

As a killer, I definitely see your point, but I disagree in that it encourages the survivor to jump into a locker to get that heal. I know what you are thinking, but hear me out. When a survivor that just got off the hook immediately enters a locker in your face, they obviously have Decisive Strike. They are trying to force it's use, so I always take the bait. This removes the perk for the rest of the match. That's a win for the killer more than the survivor.

As a survivor, I say... does anyone actually run Inner Healing with Decisive Strike? There are way better combinations to do than that, and hey if you are jumping into a locker trying to heal, either you succeed or the killer pulls you out ruining both perks (well, you get your DS used, but then it's done the rest of the match. As I said above, that's a win for the killer more than the survivor.) Especially since Inner Healing requires you to have cleaned a totem PRIOR to getting into the locker, which means you did it before you were hooked.

They aren't healing themselves, the warmth of the locker is healing them.

Even if we assume Inner Healing is a good perk to use, this combo seems like a neat trick on paper (hurr durr get healed and keep DS) but effectively, it just wastes the heal.

You get unhooked, you've banked a totem, so you jump in a locker. If you get the 8 seconds to heal, if the killer then pulls you out they immediately remove both health states, you've healed for no reason, and you wasted that totem.

So because somebody runs inner strength and also doesn’t want to be tunneled so they run DS. That person gets unhooked and tries to hide from the killer, but they can’t go hide from the killer in a locker because it’ll deactivate their DS? It’s simple dude, if somebody goes to heal themselves in a locker some point after they get unhooked they aren’t near you chasing another survivor right? They have to wait in that locker for 8 seconds let alone spend time going to the locker. You are just simply asking “why can’t I do anything to tunnel this guy?” Just don’t go and follow him to the locker to tunnel him?

hiding in a locker isn't a conspicuous action.
