When do green glyphs spawn?

Because I'm pretty sure they don't spawn at the start of the trial. I'm currently doing the green glyph challenge in the event tome and I'm not really bothered about anything other than getting progress towards this challenge, but it seems like they don't actually spawn until either a certain number of gens have been completed or and certain amount of time has passed, does anyone know if this is the case?

    This is assuming you're the only person that has the challenge active as a survivor.

    When you're playing a survivor, you get 1 Green Glyph spawn PER generator you PERSONALLY finish. So if you manage to personally finish (this means just complete it, not hold it for 80 seconds) a generator, a Green Glyph will spawn on the map somewhere where totems can usually spawn. If you manage to personally finish all 5 generators, 5 will spawn.

    If you then activate the EGC, you can then see the locations of all the glyphs you've managed to not claim yet temporarily highlighted in green.

    As a killer, it's 1 per survivor hooked up until I think 6, so this is much easier to do as a killer than a survivor comparatively.

    I believe it says they spawn after a survivor completes a gen or the killer gets a hook. Not sure if you have to be the survivor or killer with the challenge equipped to get them to spawn when completing those actions, tho.

    They spawn where totems spawn but they are highlighted when the end game collapse starts
