Playing both sides is very boring.
I've wanting to play both sides like killer and survivors but I always get frustrated with both.
Playing with players that are hella toxic is boring and playing both sides are so boring as hell.
I'm gonna wait until Tuesday when they update this game.

I play both sides regularly and I think the game is still decently fun, even after hundreds of hours.

I think the game is actually a lot of fun. It’s just people who play this game get off on trying to make their opponents as miserable as possible and make the experience terrible.
It’s also easy to get burn-out from this game because the devs are too scared to switch up the mechanics.

I play both sides too, but switching sides after playing one for too long can get frustrating.
Whenever I play on Killer, I get frustrated a lot, but also i get to really test my skill. I might kill some folks, I might not, but in the end I'll be satisfied.
But then I switch to survivor, all that effort I had to put into matches go away. I get bored on survivor, because of how stupidly easy that role is. The only moment when I get excited is when there's a Nurse/Blight, so I can put some effort finally.
And opposite way, when playing too long of the survivor side, and then switching to killer, i'm in that lazy mode thinking my matches will be easy, but i forget that i queued up as killer now and i have to turn on the brain.
I play survivor to relax and killer to tryhard a bit.
But yeah, it does get boring when you're someone playing both sides

Funny for me it’s the other way around. I find killer more chill. I don’t play to win though. The event though has made killer queue times longer so I’ve naturally played more survivor. Unless I’m with people though it’s pretty annoying. Many people hate on the killer for various things. Me? I get annoyed at team mates doing unsafe hooks, body blocking me, crouch walking everywhere and so on.

I hard disagree, but even if you don't find it fun, playing both sides will make you a lot better at the game.

For me when I play lot of killer and then I go to play survivor just makes me feel that my skill does not matter as survivor cause as killer there is so many ways to control the match somewhat but as survivor you are very limited and it only matters what your teammates do if they hide in corner or go down fast it's L. Survivor is usually maybe more relaxing if you don't care about escaping much but as killer there is more pressure to do well and get hooks and kills and at times it's just frustating even if you win.

You're not wrong but you can still pull golds out of matches even with zero kills. As long as I felt good about it, tried my damnedest and gave them a hard enough time, that's enough for me.

Just to clarify, the midchapter patch is going to the test server on Tuesday for a few weeks for people to try out. The actual live release of this midchapter patch will probably be in about three weeks.
Resident Evil would I'm guessing be the next big patch after that, so maybe end of September?

thinking about taking a break. this games mmr is honestly frustrating. Id like to think my survivor and killer mmr is pretty high. whenever i play surv, i get baby killers who are so bad its not even fun. sometimes i get to play against a good/decent killer, and its an actual enjoyable match. I dont see how im getting 20 hour killers who still try to kick gens with ruin whilst having somewhere around 2k hours myself. whenever i play killer, im going against 4 mans that play like its competitive. normally, i don't mind the challenge. but it'd be nice to have a casual game every now and then. when i say casual, i don't mean bad survivors who dont look behind them. I mean survivors who are good sports, and dont take the game too seriously - like me.

I play both killer and surv every night and enjoy both roles.

I could see that being a Twitch plug-in feature or something. I know other games have that, though I don't think I've ever seen it in action.
