Hex Totem Spawns Are A Joke

How come survivors can pick the boon location but killers can't pick their hexes? Im honestly so tired of my hexes getting cleansed within 15 seconds into the match. It's boring and tiresome. Yes im very much aware that hexes are high risk high reward (some of them are still crap tbh) but starting the match with a perk down already before you even see the first survivor in the distance is BS.

The only high risk high reward one is DH. The rest are trash and not worth it after the new update. I find crowd control really fun in chase builds but not worth it with the brain dead spawn locations

Killers definitely shouldn't be able to light their own hexes, that doesn't fit the concept at all and would honestly not be that much better considering how much time they'd have to waste travelling to the right spot.

To better help hexes not be cleansed Literally Immediately, I'd instead propose that they only light up a totem once they've actually effected something; when Ruin first regresses a generator, when Devour Hope first gets a stack, when Crowd Control first blocks a window, and so on. Add a small secondary thing that spawns in the "trap" hexes, and I think that'd be a healthy change.

Hexes are dead, scourge hooks is the new meta. Only hexes you should run is devour hope pentimento and maybe undying. And with the new monstrous shrine becoming a scourge hook and the ruin tinkerer nerf, you probably do more better with 4 scourge perks then any hex build.

It is a gamble that carried many killer victories as well as insta cleanse within seconds of the match starting.

I ran Ruin once when Hag came out. I will never again run perks that can be disabled by survivors.

Since after 5 years we still can't figure out good totem spawns the best solution is to honestly just make them all appear as dull totems to survivors. This makes them first have to actually see it, not just hear it which is more often than not how you find it and secondly it means they'll waste more time breaking totems as they aren't sure which ones the real one.

Probably the best bandaid fix we can get.

From a design standpoint, all survivor boons stack on the one totem and each survivor can only light one boon at a time. The killer would have to concentrate all their hexes onto one dull totem in order, otherwise there'd be a weird issue with deciding which hex gets lit per dull.

Plus, in a game where the killer already has too little time to go squash boons, why would you want them also needing to go light their hexes to start getting value out of them?

Totems Spawns have always been pretty bad, but they've gotten SLIGHTLY better over the years. There's just no real way of having them secured in any type of situation unless your luck is good or you spane next to them. Something I think should change is know which hex is which. That way you can prioritize them
