Overall it's a very good series and one that could make for an easy DBD transition since they're all pretty basic slasher flicks.

Unfortunately the first one is easily the best as it kind of goes downhill (2 was especially meh) but they're all good to decent stabby stab movies to shut your brain off to and watch.

I have seen them definitely worth a watch

Really? I'd say it gets better as the films go on. With 1 being the most campy (but still good) and 2 and 3 being really good.

I did not like 2 at all. 1 was good, 2 was blaugh, 3 was good

OP stop reading unless you want mild spoilers

Although I guess my big problem with 2 is the expectations of the genre. The story was interesting and it did a good job of building to 3 but I hated the lack of kills more or less. Like I get that it's a summer camp so they likely didn't want to show a bunch of kids getting slaughtered but a good 3/4 the kills were cutaway kills. We don't watch slasher movies for it to turn away at the horror money shot and most of 2 was that. Just a very irksome experience to me watching a slasher film that was scared to show slashing...

It wasn't a bad movie but that made it very disappointing to me

Hmmm. I felt like the kills were quite good, though maybe I'm remembering things wrong.

Also, I thought watching Tommy slowly descend into madness (especially considering how nice of a guy he was before he was cursed) was really heartbreaking. While it was definitely inspired off of things like Friday the Thirteenth, I feel like Part 2 was trying to be more than just a cheesy slasher, same goes for Part 1 really (though I think it fails at this more than Part 2 did).

The story of 2 was great, 100% agreed

Also I had no idea you could do spoilers on this forum... :D

i watched it & wasnt my cup of tea.

turned it off 30 min. into the first movie.

the soundtrack is cool since the Pixies is in there & i love them but overall the story didnt pull me in.

Thought the story was great I could totally feel the looming darkness and curse of the town it had some good twists but the ending was a little weak.

I'm excited to try it as a horror junkie.
