Does reporting abuse in chat do anything?

Does reporting abuse in the endgame chat do anything or am I wasting my time.

    It does work. The chat log will be automatically attached to the report and depending on how often the offender has been reported and how severe the abuse is it may lead to a warning/temporary ban/permanent ban.
