The nerfed Speed boost and Attack cooldown Decrease makes me worried.
For the attack cooldown im really worried its just going to make camping easier, especially against console players.
but im more worried about the Speed boost nerf after getting hit those .3 seconds will make a lot of difference.
if the changes were one or the other i think it would be fine
attack cooldown buff but keep current Speed boost after hit or something
The pallet breaking speed is fine but combined with the other 2 it feels like it will make a HUGE diffrence
but i guess well see
I really like the gen damage tho.

I guess we´ll have to wait how it all plays out in the PTB.
But the gen damage doesn´t do anything. Just saying.
2 -
It most likely gonna affect overall killer match time. In a single chase you're not gonna see much difference.

They addressed the unhook worry on stream yesterday - you still have enough time to hook trade if you bait the attack and then unhook.
Things on paper always seem way more scary than they seem in practice - a lot of people were very worried about Any Means Necessary on paper and it's been buffed multiple times since its release. Same with Dissolution recently - in words they always seem more scary than they sometimes are.
Those changes are there mostly to stop holding W to get a huge amount of distance - if it feels too oppressive in the PTB, I'm sure they can adjust the numbers. We'll have to see how it plays out.
2 -
You can still hook trade, it's a bit more difficult to pull off successfully but it's doable.
We will be watching the feedback to all these changes very intently and things can be adjusted prior to the PTB going Live - so please test things and let us know.

I think they'll be OK like this.
Also if they were going to only keep one, I'd rather they keep the speed boost nerf. Do you know how many times I've hit someone with a m1 killer and been like "well... guess I now need to hold W after them for 10 seconds before I cam even threaten them again." Too many.

On the stream yesterday, they did say you still have time to unhook if you're going for a "get hit then trade" type of tactic. I think mayyybe the killer might have time to get back on you if you aren't already at the hook when you're hit, but by that point the killer's almost certainly not camping and instead just chasing you back towards the hook, so that'd probably be fine- if that's even a thing, it might not be.
Wait and see, there'll be a testing period on the PTB for stuff like this.

Hook trades will still work. However, 2 Basekit-Stacks of STBFL means literally nothing. I dont notice it even when I have 4 Stacks lol.
5+ and you start to feel it as killer (at least i do).
2 -
Yea as a killer that was my first thought. If you can’t hook trade that would suck. However with the new dh, and bt base kit, hook trades might not be a thing if timed well (No more dh getting the unhooked downed again if the unhooker didn’t have bt and dh caused a hit)

Good to Know, Guess i really don't have to worry about that part.

It does if Gen tappers want to keep tapping that 90% Gen over and over again and I kick it over and over again then it builds up. That Gen damage I think was a way to combat Gen tappers tbh
2 -
Yes finally gen tappers are countered lol. im not spending my time kicking a gen for it to do nothing anymore
0 -
Yea that's what I'm happy about a single 2.5 isn't that much but like I said that adds up fast if they Gen tap.
2 -
If problem is on camping, it's the problem of camping, not the change itself
1 -
The gen damage per kick is minor but it does give a slight buff to all the perks that involve kicking gens. I’m certainly not complaining about it. 🙂
0 -
Idk how pallet and gen smashing speed could possibly ENCOURAGE camping? If anything it would discourage camping if it's faster to do and less inconvenient.
2 -
I only feel it at 4

What has me worried is there are way to many global buffs to killers and based on other games, such as League of Legends, when you have multiple buffs, the buffs aren't additive, they're multiplicative.
A 10% attack speed buff, a 10% pallet breaking speed buff, faster bloodlust, %2.5 gen damage on kick and 10 extra seconds on gens. That's a lot of global buffs and when they all start working together, it's going to be massive.
7 -
I mean, you're basically admitting that you've buffed camping with that, then.
In a dev update where you supposedly were going to make it less advantageous.
Maybe buffing the attack cooldown AND nerfing the speed boost is overkill when done together.

It's still relatively less advantageous than playing normally as usual chases are buffed.

I prefer survivors to have 2sec startup animation before making progress. Either Gen, Gate,Chest,Heal,Totem...
2.5% is a soft slowdown, but doesnt prevent Gen touch mid chase.
0 -
But in order to combat gen tapping, it would have to be slightly higher. As it is now, the kick reduces the gen progress by 2,25 seconds. With a kick animation of 1,8 seconds. So the killer gains 0,45 second of regression. But since the killers time is 4 times as valuable as the survivors, continualy and kicking it, is actually counterproductive. Since the other survivors do another gen in the mean time.
1 -
I´m not complaining about it. Its better than what we have now. But i really expected something... more from a patch that recognized gens as the primary killer issue.
4 -
Yes, i totally agree. If the killer needs a full animation to start the regression. A survivor should also go through a full animation to stop it.
2 -
they guttted ruin once and for all, they utterly nerfed pop, they nerfed corrupt intervention and pain resonace and you fear abour few milliseconds of cooldown (and probably the 10 added seconds for a gen)? i'll gladly revert this change on certain aspects, but we are still unaware of the results of all their changes, before speaking we should try those changes and give feedbacks, then we could talk again about modifying things

The 10 second increase to base time is significant. How many times have you as a killer walked up to a gen and the survivors finished it as you approached? Every single one of those close calls now has up to 10 extra seconds on the clock.
3 -
But then you gonna get another dozens of close call and feels like gens are too fast.
0 -
Not me, I’m one of the few killers that didn’t complain about gen speeds.
1 -
The multiple global buffs killers will be receiving will probably end up being what to much. All those buffs interact with each other multiplicatively.
2 -
So... Are you saying you made camping stronger?
11 -
I have no idea where it’ll all shake out, but there are definitely some nice looking combos I’m looking forward to trying. 🙂
0 -
I would agree IF the devs didn´t nuke the whole slowdown meta along with it.
0 -
But they didn’t “nuke the slowdown”. They nuked Ruin, they somewhat nerfed Pop, and they somewhat nerfed Corrupt. But Pain Resonance actually regresses more than before (it’s 15% of 90 seconds instead of 80) and all the other slowdown perks are either unchanged or buffed, including a really big buff to Overcharge.
10 -
Then this change really wouldn't matter to you anyway.
0 -
Somewhat?
Ruin is useless now.
Corrupt is useless now.
Pop is useless now.
1 -
Why do you think I won’t notice the difference? Every time you come up to a gen current and it finishes as you approach now the gen will have up to 10 seconds more. It’s a significant slowdown.
0 -
Again, Ruin is useless but Pop is still ok, it’s just weaker. Corrupt is probably also still ok on killers that do early game setup and hit and run early game. And every other single slowdown perk is buffed or the same.
All that’s going to happen is killers are going to swap around the slowdown perks they use if they even still feel the slowdown is needed after the 10 second increase in gen speeds. There’s not exactly a shortage of slowdown perks outside the couple that got nerfed.
2 -
Yes, camping is literally stronger now. Go trade hook with STBFL camping killers.
Good luck getting grabbed.
9 -
dragons grip does though.

Dragons grip with overcharge
1 -
Wouldn't it be easier to just double the nerf to the speed boost and leave the current basic attack cooldown? This would accomplish the same reduction in distance gained without buffing camping.
1 -
Pop is much weaker. Unless the gen is at 99%, the killer will lose more time going for that kick than what the actual kick gives in regression.
Killers will still stack slowdown perks. Only different ones.
3 -
And a Killer that's built up that many Save the Best for Last stacks isn't likely camping very much in it first place.
0 -
Dragons grip with overcharge
0 -
Overcharge - Camp the gen - Dragons Grip :-P
0 -
the salty survivor mains are hilarious, the game is still easy for survivors as always, depends of the survivor more than the killer
0 -
Weird. I notice with the first stack the slight difference, let alone four. I'm not saying one stack or four stacks of stbfl are so awesome, but there is definitely a difference.
0 -
I’m fine with it, shift W is boring and needed to be nerfed.
They might need to adjust STBFL though (adjust it downwards proportionally so that at 8 stacks it’s the same cooldown as it is now) and I do think the unhook interaction time should be reduced a bit to compensate. I realize hook trading will still be possible with the reduced cooldown, but it is still effectively a buff to camping when it doesn’t need to be.
6 -
Yea the game will be easier to get out but they take all the fun away before getting out. Its not about kill rates its about having fun and looping holding m1 is boring.
0 -
How do the changes affect him that much? Most of the time he's using his chainsaw.
1 -
you should be worried because all this is going to PTB
PTB consist of 10-100 hour players and its only a handful of players
the big time players with 1k+ hours they do the ptb for the first maybe second day only.
these changes are game changing and they should be tested on live servers and changed accordingly
