Matchmaking is broken for survivors

I only get 200-600 ping lobbies and dcing killers.
Please fix lobbies, trying since 1 hour.

Thx for not listening <3

Since the PTB is totally packed with killer buffs, right?^^
Oh it is not... my bad. :D

No but clearly from the outcry they'll have to rework Legion entirely or drown in a sea of tears.

    Killers need a buff lol.
The problem is, there are too many survivors and way too less killers.
Thus killer lobbies are filled within seconds, while survivor have to deal with 200 ping.

But if killer are so laughably easy to play and gain so much more points, why there are so few?

I am playing both sides and playing survivor is no challenge at all (atleast against ordinary killers).

Its fun though, and to be honest its the only way to play survivor since every solo game ends up a camp and farm fest.

They just need to reign in the toxic groups, and offer more BP to compensate for the added challenge.

Solution: Make a grab-a-- mode where the survivors run in circles and tickle each other with no threats from anything.

Did the lobbies go back to normal?
Just asking, since I predicted something like that and survivor mains laughed.

Not completely, the problem became better, but it has not became like before.
SO my guess of a bugged MM still stands.
And the Devs are already working on a new MM system (that includes hiding SWF better from the killer).

    The irony.

Because "camping" and "tunneling" are just social combat terms used by biased survivor player to shun other player from using legal tactics.

Survivor use these terms inflationary. Calling everything "camping" and "tunneling" no matter the circumstances.
Oh the injured guy is really bad at hiding and I find him again every time he gets unhooked = TUNNELER!
I hook someone right in the middle of a 3 last gen cluster, that the survivor created by rushing the gens without thinking and do not run to the other side of the map = CAMPER!

But you constantly refuse to see it from that perspective. You only see YOUR "truth" from your precious survivor side. You seem to want free unhooks and free heals no matter what.

I agree that some survivors throw those termd around too easily, and no there's no such things as gen camping.

But you have to admit that sitting on the first person you caught and not letting them get away is a bit harsh.

I could say you only see the truth from the killer side.

Nothing is written in stone. Anything can change. And even if we can't get rid of it, we need to keep telling the Devs that this crap is NOT balanced.
If we just keep your mouth shut, this will get even worse.
That was what happend the first one and a half year. Killer didn't speak up and survivor complained like crazy and got heard and got all kind of buffs.
Now the killer learned from that and speak up.

    Stop being so biased.

SWF can be balanced by giving sole survivors more informations, also by giving more bp and maybe the killer extra perks etc.

Sorry about it but SWF isn’t getting removed. It’s a HUGE selling point and it wouldn’t be smart to remove it because some people think it is unbalanced. The ONLY thing they could do is disable Discord but at the same time there are other way to communicate and Sony and Microsoft are more than likely not gonna disable party chat for consoles for this game.

I’m all for balancing the game but how are they gonna balance SWF without giving a huge nerf to solo queue? Honestly 4 solo queue vs one killer is in a good place, it’s somewhat balanced. Nerfing that would just making the game unbalanced.

By removing a toxic, unbalanced feature, the playerbase could actually GROW, because the game would get a better reputation of being well balanced and fun to play for both sides.

I wrote something similar to this about the old myth about "we can't split the playerbase", when it comes to making two queues, one for SWF, one without.
I simply repost it here and you will see it fit right in.

    "Don't split the playerbase"
    There we go again...
Your logic follows a flawed assumption.
That the playerbase would stay the same and we would just split it up.
In fact the playerbase would change.
Some would leave, some would come.
And since most likely the wrong people would leave, since they can't use their unfair advantage anymore, the quality of the community would become better and that way attract more player.
Old ones will return, new ones get attracted.
Maybe even some REAL horror fans would join in that have no problem with playing against an overpowered killer, because that's what they EXPECT if they are fans of the genre.
70% of all lobbies contain Swf, but only roughly (less than) 50% of all survivor join the lobby via Swf, including those that join via Swf despite being solo, to avoid bugs and stuff.
So we are talking about less than half the survivor playerbase -remember, we have a shortage of killer at the moment, not survivor (more killer per survivor = faster que times, better QoL for survivor)- that had to choose if they stay or leave.
So lets get real, even if a boldly high number of 80% would say, they will stop playing all together. We know by experience far less than half would really quit.
So what? We would lose MAX 20% of the survivor playerbase.
That would be compensated easy with returning players and new player.
And after that we would have a better, less toxic community with more real fans and less people who just play to troll.
Which would attract even more player if the word spread out.
In a nutshell you can expect a RISE in player.

Learn and improved a lot from matches vs SWF.
I'm okay if win or loose.
If i get my 4 BBQ stacks i'm able to let them all scape and if i'm a mood ... farm.

Aren't killers just as played as survivors? I main both sides and I know for a fact that there's way more killers then when I started in September 2017. I don't know why killer mains are crying that there's too few of them, there's really not. Killer is just as fun as survivor and lots of people play it now. Even diehard survivor mains like I was play killer equally as much as they play survivor. Also for anyone who reads this, I think killer and survivor are both hard and take an even amount of skill. Idk what survivor mains are saying when they say killer takes no skill since it's not just m1 and 'gg ez' it takes a lot of predictions and thinking and I dont even know what killers are saying when they say survivors takes no skill it takes a lot of tactical thinking and knowing when to make a move and when to sit back and relax.

    Killers need a buff lol.
The problem is, there are too many survivors and way too less killers.
Thus killer lobbies are filled within seconds, while survivor have to deal with 200 ping.

But if killer are so laughably easy to play and gain so much more points, why there are so few?
I would like to hear your guess...

Aren't killers just as played as survivors? I main both sides and I know for a fact that there's way more killers then when I started in September 2017. I don't know where you are getting your "stats" from, but I know a lot of killer who either quit playing completely or switched to main survivor to have a less stressful game.

After that pallet vacuum change, killer has became fun for me and most the people I talk to. I honestly don't understand why you think survivors need more nerfs. I'm pretty sure it's just killers bases needing reworks/buffs. I could understand if u think some survivor PERKS need nerfs tho. But from what I've seen throughout my year and 1 month of playing, much more people play killer and people find it fun. Just take a look at Spirit she's probably the most fun killer to play in the game. Even Leatherface can be fun sometimes. The killers need buffs to their bases e.g remove Michael's stalk cap and make him stalk 20% faster. That's what they need. I'd kinda like to see what nerfs u want to survivors so please tell me what nerf they need to their base? I'm interested to know that because u might be thinking about a sensible nerf whereas I'm imagining that you want survivors to take 5 seconds to vault a pallet/window. Tell me what survivors need nerfs in (not including perks)

I am not a killer main and I didn't cry about there being too less killers.

I am trying to get a lobby working and there need to be killers for that.
But there are very little and when I find a killer player successfully, they have high ping or dodge the lobby.

The devs need to make killers capable of doing heavy damage to survivors without using a teleporting or insta downing killer.

The experience I had when I begun with the game was really terrifying, which was perfect, but as soon as I realised, killers are rodeo clowns, im just bullying a bunch of underpowered idiots who sometimes bring a mori or a overpowered killer to stand a chance.

I must be an oddball then since I literally play killer most of the time simply because I don't want to deal with the frustration of playing survivor. I actually wish I could play survivor more, but the level of frustration I have to deal with isn't worth the headache or lower amount of BP.

Same. I joined as a survivor because I liked the horror aspect.

Now I can only player killer because of all the BS on the survivor side.

Which sadly means I rank up quickly as killer and then only 2 or 3 of my killers are usable as most of the others still have very poor perk choices.

The only frustration I have when playing survivor is the long lobby search, the dodges and high ping.
I am perfectly fine with tryharding and good playing killers except good nurses, because you can't counter them in any aspect.
I just want a terrifying, fair and balanced game which at the current state is nearly impossible to get.

I already accepted survivor being the power role and I am playing like that too, because that's the way how you win.
Survivors win by genrushing, looping and using overpowered perks.
Killers win by camping, tunneling and using good perks (there really arent any overpowered perks for killer, atleast not against a 4 swf team).

    Everything is considered a crutch.
Mashed together with long lobby searches, ping issues and dodging, the game becomes even more unfun.

Since the devs refuse to fix the game for 2 years now, I atleast demand fixed lobbies, real queries, real SWF parties, like in KyF and fixed ping (not dodging, killers should be able to dodge a game they dont want to play).

Atleast let me play, that's all I want.

Yea I doubt I would feel any fear playing with swf, but I always solo queue and contrary to what so many people like to say, I don't see survivors as the power role unless they are swf.

and the only way to reliably counter campers is with that swf, so solo queuing is just a relentless campfest that keeps me from playing survivor.

just play friendly killer. never hook people more than twice, only occasionally kick gens or pallets,  stuff like that.

I stay around rank 10 which is perfect for my casual self. lol

    @Avariku

That's the issue with DBD. So many killers moan about SWF, and yet so many are playing in a way that makes survivors only feel comfortable playing in SWF.

I do try to be nice as long as they aren't toxic survivors. Sometimes you hook someone, bump into them shortly after they're unhooked and hook them again, and then again you bump into them shortly after unhook. I tend to leave them alone at that point rather than force them out of the game.

I go easy on basement hooks too with Hag because I know how bad she can be. I'll place a trap to slow them down, but continue to chase someone else rather than teleport to it.
