Dead Hard, Off the Record, BT Basekit Meta
So I’m sitting here feeding my usual YouTube DBD video addiction and I’ve come across Dowsey’s video showcasing this display of ridiculously obtainable 2nd, 3rd, 4th chances as a survivor. I typically play survivor but will often play killer matches as well to do challenges. Seeing this has made me feel like I would be too annoyed to play killer if this actually does become the meta. Smart swfs will abuse this worse than the old meta I think.
Im not usually this lame but this potential meta seems too unfun to go against to be worth playing killer for me (at least if it does show up a whole lot in matches). I’m curious about others’ thoughts?

First off, Dowsey is another killer main. Second of all, Off the Record is absolutely getting changed before live.

I’m aware he is, and I definitely hope off the record gets changed. I do swap between both roles, but I was just amazed to watch the video

Bet he didnt mention anything about how Overcharge needs toned down did he?

Ah yes. The Killer Main who is complaining about BHVR since months showed this build? Interesting...

I’m asking for people’s thoughts on it because I felt surprised when I watched the possible build

Yeah, off the record needs to be toned down to 20/25/30 seconds or so. I don't think it's as strong as people are saying specially with the decreased cooldown (and my yummy STBFL stacks!) but 80 seconds is just ridiculous, SWF can abuse it really easily.

I saw Off the Record being used yes, and it will not make it to live servers in this state. Hopefully they tone down Overcharge while they are at it.

I think the new OTR should be nerfed down to 60 seconds (or less), but the actual concept of the perk is just fine.
The new DH is absolute garbage; I guarantee there will be a decrease in its usage amongst survivors. All the original issues with the perk (DH 'for distance', ignoring Trapper traps, etc.) are no more. I think the new one takes far more skill to use as you have to time it precisely with a killer attack.
The new BT base kit is long overdue. Objectively, that can't be abused because it only lasts a few seconds and punishes killers who try and hit survivors straight off the hook. When equipped with the new BT perk, I agree it has the potential to cause some problems but we'll see.

The fact that the devs didn’t realize how stupidly OP OTR would be when stacked with other endurance/2nd chance perks makes me 100% confident that they don’t play their own game in real world conditions. They’ll just tell us everything was fine in their internal testing and everything will go through the PTB unchanged

YouTube is already full of streamers just abusing killers and laughing the whole match with their multiple stacked endurance hits. Well done, BHVR

Does the new DH still eat the killers power IE Nemmy's tentacle not breaking a downed pallet if the survivor DH's on the other side etc?

Gotta love the classic "ad hominem" fallacy where you dismiss actual concerns, opinions or facts simply because the person providing insight doesn't align with your personal vision ;)

You must be new here :p

Don't take 'no content sleepytime zzzzzzzzzzzzzz' posts from the usual suspects seriously....ESPECIALLY around PTB time when things are obviously broken.

Sorry, I cannot take this person seriously anymore.

Imo endurance shouldn't stack and should disappear when fully healed. Second even if these do go live which I hope not just don't chase that person once you see the endurance effect. An if they are body blocking that's 2 people off gens (1 being chase, 1 body blocking) an worse case slug the endurance user. It's not as insane as people are trying to show. An m.o.m you have to go out your way for it to activate an again less people doing the objective. Dowsey an truetalent althou I respect them do jump the gun an are biased. Remember the ringu hot take? Eyup.

Off the record should be 40 seconds or once per game at 80 seconds. Either form should be disabled at end game and should do so many things at once. Endurance on its own is fine - but also removing noise and scratches? Hell no.
Mettle of Man should only get you "credit" if you take an injury - so endurance would give you no credit for "tanking".

With Boil Over being the way it was, I dont expect it to be changed, BHVR is only human, people make mistakes and oversights, and some of those oversights and such are bound to make it to live servers.

Endurance effects can't stack. That simply can't go live. That will straight up break the game.
Overcharge and Thana are way overtuned. Plague and Legion will be a dc fiesta if Thana/Overcharge/Gift Of Pain changes go live. I don't understand how Forever Freddy got nerfed and then within a year perks are put on PTB with those numbers. It seems like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing at times.
I think the devs need to put a hard cap on the amount of regression/slowdown that can stack on a gen. It makes their job really difficult when buffing one slowdown causes power creep across the board with every other slowdown. Realistically, a killer should never need more than a 25% repair speed debuff on a 90 second gen unless they're straight up AFK.
