I tried to play solo q today and 3 games where already enough for me.
First game: A kate was let into struggle cuz no one went for the save, the Trapper wasnt even camping. Why didnt I go? I was on the other side of the map with a gen on 50 with ruin. I saw the other 2 together doing a gen at shack, gens before friends I guess. Kate suicided after that which is understandable. I could go too and let my gen regress but I was expecting for one of them to go.
Second game: Nurse starstruck = gg
Third game (Lobby): I wrote the team that I am gonna use a map offering, I asked politely if everyone is fine with RPD. 2 said no, I asked again with "Haddonfield then?". 1 cursed me for beeing an noob and I am a simp and should kill myself and left. The other one said "Bye virgin" and the last one said "Dude why are you so rude to them? Hope you get tunneled *Left".
Well that was an amazing experience.

Well, I am not going to excuse the behavior of the guys in the third lobby, but what the hell were you expecting telling everyone you are going to use an RPD map offering? That map is god awful for literally everyone except sweat squads and die hard RE fans.

Ye and I am an RE fan, also my jeff had literally only 3 map offerings. I could be also an ass and just bring the offering without telling so ppl would suicide or dc. But I was trying to be nice and asked to warn ppl beforehand.

I don't know about RPD though. Survivors hate it. Killers hate it. So both sides hate it for some reasons.
For the rest, that is the horrible experience of being solo survivors, the most miserable people in DBD.

I thought since I never play solo q that I could have maybe a few decent games but not straight up trash since the beginning.

That map is pretty good, once you know the layout well. Wraith, Pig, and Meyers reign supreme with their wall hacks. Great map for survivors vs. M1 killers. It’s the only indoor map I like.
@BenZ0 sorry you had to deal with lobbies 1 &2. That’s been my experience the entire anniversary event. Lobby 3 made my eyes open wide as I read it. What the hell is wrong with people?? Jeez Louis they’re a fun bunch I bet. You probably dodged a bullet with them anyway. With attitudes like that, I’m sure they ragequit at the slightest challenge.

Yeah I can see where the Kate is coming from, not your fault but going into second state is one of the worst feeling in this game. Also any nurse game sucks

RPD is okay. I like it a lot more than Lery's or The Game for sure. When I play killer on it, I only play one half of the map, the library side. That works for me to win often enough

The way you described number 3 is so hilarious 😂 they got so offended at the threat of being sent to RPD.
I don't think I could handle it if someone called me a noob and simp in the game chat then left all pissy. I would die laughing I swear to God!

You don't need to get the hate for it, you only need to accept that it exists.
Answering the question though it's because both sides get lost easily and it's not intuitive to navigate it. Most people understand quickly there's two sides to the building and the main hall connects both but all too often will go in a straight line to get from one point to the other like you do in basically every other map in this game and run into a wall. They'll follow the wall around to try and find a way around and that way is blocked too, then the killer is there! Welp guess you got sidetracked. You either get hooked or escape chase and it starts all over again.
As a killer you see a generator you want to get to. Okay, you walk there. Wall. Go round. Another wall. By the time you get there it's popped.
I'm okay with the map now, but it's bad reputation is well earned. It's design is unlike anything else in the game.

I did also laugh hard, then I was just confused cuz I was then alone in the lobby and like "bruh I just asked?"
