Well if you want to go down that route...

In most horror movies the killer chases their victim. They don't just sit around waiting.

Really? Jason want to have a talk to you…

    It's called "baiting".

Then go play Friday 13th

Freddy and Michael chase a lot.

Dream Warriors is literally Freddy camping a victim to draw the others out :P

just because a survivor farms another off a hook in front of a killer, it doesn't mean the killer must capitalize on the event.  unless of course, they are desperate.

    Are you serious?

You think that's how a killer should play?

Just watch the survivor make bad plays and let them get away with it?

So the survivor show no "fear"(respect?) of the killer and rescue right beside him and he should show "mercy" and let the rescued go to take on the much harder chase?

    WHY?

I can give you 3 reasons:

    1. As a killer i try to provide the best possible game expirience for everyone.

    2. I am confident enough in my skills to catch the guy again after he healed to full.

    3. From a gen pressure point of view its better because a player healing isn't a player doing a gen. a good team will punish you for proxying and tunneling. the are just going to do gens and save last second.

You can be respected and feared by your opponents without playing like a sweaty tryhard piece of human garbage.

It's always nice to see posts using terms like "sweaty tryhard piece of human garbage" get upvoted.

    Beautiful.

As a Killer main I do this sometimes if a game was really brutal in my favor or if DCs happen right away and the last person alive wasn't a teabagging tryhard troll.

If a match has been played out, Gens are being done & such and then people DC, I usually won't give Hatch.

And in the end he will get tbagged at the gate and get an "gg ez baby killer" in the after match chat??

it's called sportsmanship but i suppose you love hooks dropping when you are about to hook someone.  they play like that, then yes i'll drop all that but acting like a desperado garners no respect from me.

Serious? "Sportsmanship", in a horror survival game that is based on slasher movies?
The evil incarnate, psycho, serial killer should act like a "good sportsman"?

this is actually a videogame but i can see why you are struggling now.

yep, I actually play the "monster/bad guy/evil" and instead of indulging into it, I get peer pressured into "acting like a good sportsman".
    #########?
Have you ever seen a slasher movie where the killer was like that?

In DbD you get the chance to play a psychopathic Killer, that's the role you play in a match as Killer.

Of course as a RP-Lover I take this role very serious and I put a lot of dedication into acting like a psychopathic Killer. My playstyle should seem authentic, should make Survivors question my mentality and only then I am a really good Killer.

I honestly despise all Killers that refuse to take their role seriously, it makes the game boring and destroys the whole atmosphere. Even though it's just a video game, you are still supposed to take your role seriously.
