Tunneling completely negates good survivor gameplay
Start a game off and do 3 gens with killer only getting 2 hooks. Good start right? Oh wait now the killer just tunneled someone out and it's a 3v1 and killer get a 4k after. Fun game.

Tunneling when it's not the best strategy to do so is punished by good survivor gameplay, so no. You are completely incorrect.

What else are they gonna do? Hook everyone to dead on hook? No. All the gens will be popped and 3 or 4 survivors will escape. Tunneling is a strat especially when gens pop quick

well if it was good survivor gameplay they would loop the killer and allow time for the other 3 to do the rest of the gens.

It sounds more like you got outplayed or your team outplayed themselves by letting the Killer get a good 3 or 4 gen set-up. There's a macro strategy as well and part of good survivor play is not letting the Killer get an easily defensible 3 or 4 gen.

we could say the same about survivor for instance: you did a chase with reasonable time (considering that certain maps are complete BS and dead hard is still a thing) and 3 gens pop, you search another guy and start a chase with him, another gen was completed in the meantime + half generator from the guy who went to do the save, you hooked the 2nd chased survivor, all gens done. fun isn't it? it's easy seeing the problems only for one side...

Well I can see where the killer is coming from. If the killer is trying to win then yes it’s the best play they can make. Unfortunately if you loop a killer for too long your gonna get camped to death and it sucks to have all that effort got to waste

That's why playing both side is important. I was playing Survivor only before, and playing Killer made me realise things. Such as: losing three generators after one fun chase kills the fun.
I don't tunnel, but when this happening, I can understand a Killer who wants to get value of their role... which is killing...
Maybe the new generator speed is gonna help.

only 10 added seconds... with the best slowdown perks nerfed into the ground (also the new overcharge wouldn't be a big problem if you are able to hit great skillchecks)... honestly i think that the new patch will only worsened the situation... we will see more nurses and bubba probably

Good survivor gameplay involves awareness, avoiding the killer when out positioned, and escaping chases. Being tunneled just means teammates made an inadequate save and you then failed in chase again.

Classic case of coping. NO THE KILLER HAS TO PLAY BY 12 HOOKS OR ELSE HE IS A FILTHY TUNNELER.
Its completely fair to not care about your opponents winning or having fun while trying your best to win. Its a pvp game so deal with it already.

To have a reasonably fun game for (nearly) everyone, one survivor needs to die at the 2 gen mark. Then the others got a reasonable chance to complete all gens, but its no pushover and there is a real danger of failing. Getting a 3v1 too early, though, usually results in the survivors team breaking apart and everyone dying. Its really tough to balance, especially since the first survivor you chase could be super good and waste all your time. But they could also be the one soloQ baby survivor whom you just slaugther. There is no real right way to tackle this, but my experience tells me that the best games are those were you turn it into a 3v1 at the 2-3 gens mark and not everyone is super immersed. But this games are not the norm.

It seems like the game has been thrown by survs, your fault
3 -
It shouldn't be an automatic 4k at that point, but most survivors are pretty lost in a 3v1 and continue to play like it's a 4v1. I lose more hair every time teammates heal each other for 32 seconds while I'm in a chase and then try to double up on a 0% gen as I'm being hooked in a 3v1.

Tunneling is annoyingly opressive (as in generating pressure on survivors) , yes.
But not every killer you will play against will play fair. Most will just try to win.

And going for multiple hooks punishes the killer for being good too, so literally what's your point.
It's lose - lose. I either go for multiple hooks and waste all my time, and everyone escapes but oh goodie me I got 8 hooks. Or I tunnel someone out to actually build pressure, but I'm some kind of loser.

You just described the issue. 3 gens on 2 hooks.....What else can they do other than kill a survivor and slow the game down
4 -
Agreed. It’s so boring but easily punished. If a killer tunnels me, and my teammates stick to gens… he’ll only get a 1k with the gates open.

It's sadly just part of the game, may not be very sporting/fun but it's a tactic regardless. Not going to lie, it sucks to be tunnelled out or left in the situation to progress on hook, only to be smacked down as soon as you finally get unhooked ha. Just don't take it personally, you're just a random survivor to the killer.
Maybe the gen time increase, base BT, and OTR will help with this, we'll just have to see.

Did you get to have a chase, fix some gens and engage in some DBD gameplay, what about it wasn't fun?
I mean what you described was just a game of DBD sounds like sour grapes over not escaping more than anything else.

Yeah. But sadly not everyone is a god looper :(

Splitting up and doing 3-4 gens seperately completely negates good killer gameplay. Facts!
3 -
Good survivor gameplay makes tunneling a lost cause. Killer walks away with a 1k if they tried tunneling a strong survivor.

You don't have to be a god looper, you just need to know how to run and chain tiles together, mindgame and pallet stun to break bloodlust. All these are the hallmarks of a strong survivor, but it's important for your team to stay on gens.
If you can loop for 2 gens before your first hook, then loop for another 2 before your second hook, you've basically got a guaranteed 3E, possibly 4E if someone takes a hook state for you.

"Life would be dream" if solo que worked like that. But overall yeah, what you said.
"Learn, adapt, overcome" xp

If only solo queue worked like that. Sadly that's probably asking too much. 😂
