Question about one of clown’s add-ons

My question is about the Sulfuric Acid Vial add-on for clown. The description reads “Intoxication inflicts Mangled”.

Does the gas only give mangled to injured survivors or does it give it to healthy survivors as well? Also, if the latter is true, does the mangled effect carry over once the survivor is injured, and then stays until healed?

    It affects the survivor as soon as they are hit by the gas and become intoxicated, regardless of whether they're healthy or injured.

    To answer your second question - yes, it stays when you injure the survivor and stays until they've healed 1 health state.
