Does anyone else use Mori's to check hook state?
Or is there a better way?
I find myself equipping and usually wasting Mori's every round since I don't actually use them (unless someone is being very sweaty/clicky) but I find them more useful to check who is on 3rd hook so I can spread the hook and let them try to get saved.
I tried looking at other stuff (sorry I'm new, and I just can't remember who I hooked how many times) like the HUD. it has total hook number but not per player. Checking the HUD icons doesn't really work. I see some spiney fingers sometimes but doesn't seem to indicate hooks and hard to tell from avatar who is the person on the ground (especially when multiple slugs and HUD shows crawling icon instead of character).
Other than memory, or mori, is there an easier way to check hook count?

I never use mori,its not worth a offering slot.
I just remember hooks on survivors like I always did, sometimes I forget and kill but what can you do

Counting individual hooks is indeed a memory challenge.
I find it easier to note every time a survivor hits 2nd stage.
So I hook Claudette and she's on 2nd hook: Claudette becomes off-limits.
I notice Bill isn't being rescued and has gone to 2nd stage: off-limits.
This way it's a maximum of 4 tick boxes I need to retain in my short term memory.

This whole thread is super wholesome. All this killers making sure not to kill anyone accidentially :) Would be nice if sometimes survivors wouldn't be so deadset on preventing and impeding each and every single hooking, but eh, I don't want to sully the good atmosphere here. Sometimes everyone escaping is its own reward, together with the lightshow and twerking act.

I don't use the mori's because I only ever take BP offerings into the game. I normally try to remember by cosmetics who I've hooked, it gets confusing when it's two people with the same cosmetic and I try to remember names in that case but my memory for stuff like that is super bad and often I forget.
I do try to make sure I'm not hooking the same person in succession - but sometimes it happens. I don't return to the hook and am off hunting for someone else, but then randomly run into the person I'd just hooked, at that point I have no other real option but to go for them.

I count in my head.
I cant afford to use an offering like that every game especially if I want to use addons I like and play all characters.
Plus using a mori is punishing as it doesnt activate multiple of my perks, the only use is to tunnel some from 2nd hook to death but I dont use moris so...

Used Mori only to get achievement for 20 mori's.

I just try to remember their cosmetics/names and hook counts. I've only used Mori once for a challenge, but otherwise don't bring those as offerings.

I sometimes use PH final judgment for that.

I use Moris because I like the animations (and because you can’t be stunned out of them), aside from the fact that I have this annoying habit of not noticing the Mori icon when I’m standing over someone so I hook them out and forget to use it. 🤦♂️

I usually remember the hooks. However, I often forget to use a Mori when playing with it. It's very rare that I take a mori with me, and only when people ask me.

I almost never bring a Mori. I try to keep hook states in my head, but when you're up against multiples of the same character, some with the same cosmetic, it can be difficult while trying to juggle everything else (more so when a team leaves someone to go to 2nd stage and I don't realize it and end up ending their game unexpectedly).
I used to use BBQ to keep track at least that I'd hooked everyone once before finishing someone off -- since I'd removed it on the majority of my builds for better perks, I've found I have a lot more instances where someone will be dead and someone is in the match I've haven't hooked yet, and it's not on purpose. The loss of the BBQ bonus (and the objective of getting those 4 stacks) is going to have a negative result in that aspect, not just for me, but for many other players, I'm afraid.

I forget hook counts 99% of the time.

It really depends on the killer. I could see Sadako or Huntress being strategic, but Mikey stab happy now

I usually just remember, Kate 2, Claudette 1, etc. It gets kinda shadey when you have like 4 Megs or something tho lolol.

So if someone i hooked has reached second stage i just rememer the number so i dont need to remember names and cosmetics makes it easyer for me atleast. Otherwise if you have 2 megs in the game and you remember meg its confusing. Numbers do the trick for me.

Interesting! I find numbers much harder to remember (yes I am that person who can't remember her own mobile/cell phone number)...I'd be thinking so 1 is on 2, 2 is on 1, 3 is on 1, 4 is on 2 and just get it all confused.
It's interesting what people find easier to remember tbh. I'm very visual hence using cosmetics and things to help me to remember things.
