New Survivor - A Priest / Father Berthold

A priest who has found himself in the realm of the entity. After witnessing all the misery of the other survivors, he decided to fight this cursed land in his strong faith. His personal perks help him to alleviate the suffering of the other survivors and not to lose hope under the worst conditions.

Perk – New Hope

Press the active ability button while next to a survivor who has been hooked at least once. You transfer one hook stage from the survivor to yourself. If the survivor is injured, he is healed for 33% / 66% / 99% healing progress in the process. This perk deactivates once you reach the second hook stage.

Hook stages are often not evenly split across all survivors and this perk could give survivors who are good at running (or hiding) the ability extend the life of one of their teammates, who maybe even got tunnelled or is just an unlucky player.

Perk – Unwavering Faith

You receive a bonus of 3% / 6% / 9% to action speed while cursed. When you cleanse an active totem, you also know which curse is associated with it.

I do like the idea of perks that are better while you are cursed, like soul guard, and it would also be a nice benefit to know which hex perk you are cleansing for the small chance, that it is a trap.

Perk – Shelter for the weary

Other survivors within 12 metres of your location have an increased recovery rate from the exhaustion status effect by 30% / 40% / 50% and have the volume of their Grunts of Pain while in the injured or dying state reduced by 30% / 40% / 50%.

An altruistic perk only the other survivors benefit from was in my opinion very fitting for this type of character. But maybe there is a to big of a similarity with vigil? Both this perk and vigil would increase the exhaustion recovery rate to 80% which is a bit much I guess.

What do you all think? I think a somewhat religious survivor could work really well and could be an interesting counterpart to the religious killer – the plague.

The Perk New Hope should also deactivate once it has been used by others to remove one hook stage from oneself, so it is not possible to move hook stages back and forth to heal quicker.
