Mist looks so clunky and patchy (not good)
It looks terrible. There's nothing really more to explain. It's so patchy and it's random balls of mist everywhere. The offering just make it darker which looks weired. Literary black mist floating around. Overall I don't know why bhvr changed mist. It used to be amazing and it actually used to make the atmosphere so much better. It used to be real fog that made the game moor spooky and the offerings didn't make the mist darker, but spread it out more and made it more dense.
So many things about old dbd that were taken away for no reason. So sad

They wanted to make all maps roughly the same lighting, or be able to adjust them evenly, and certain maps being darker than others made it so the offerings made some maps super dark and others ridiculously bright.
They made them less impactful so that all maps were on a baseline that they could tweak from without worrying that offerings would ruin them or make them unplayable.

They had to remove the old mist as it caused performance issues on consoles (despite being labelled "next gen").

Also fog on eyrie of crows is actually insane. You can’t see past 5 feet most the time

Well consoles are next gen now so surley they will be able to support. It was probably the og xboxes and Xbox 360s that didn't support it

I was just thinking the same yesterday

They aren't next gen, I had my laptop custom built-in 2019 and it still trumps PS5.

Mist and luck offerings could both really use a revamp. They barely have any noticeable effect at all.
