Honestly tired of the "MMR" setup in this game.

I don't know what is going on lately, but i'm being matched up with people that have 100-200 hours of game time. And nothing but Killers who run back to hook and tunnel off hook, or who flat out proxy camp. I can't talk to the regards to killer side as lately i've been Prestiging all of them for the new update. But this gameplay is just awful. I go to try and save people and the killer is just around the corner waiting. And instead of chasing me after hitting me for the unhook, they just chase the dude down that has BT, hits them, and continues to chase them.

Now you could say MY "MMR" is low which is the cause. But I get about average 3 unhooks a game, Depending on the killer I loop for 2-3 gens on average, and I generally try to get at the least 2 gens done if i'm not playing unhook/heal jocky. (Yes I play Solo, it's a nightmare). But this just isn't a fun playstyle. And it's been majority every match since the event ended. But if you're going to say my MMR is low. Why is it MY MMR is low due to any of these factors. Why doesn't proxy camping or tunneling lower the MMR of the killer. Somebody help me understand this system that seems worse than what we had prior because for the life of me i'm not understanding it.

    So we're just back to actively advocating for camping and tunneling while survivors just get thrown into the cess pools if you play solo. Yay.


    Information I genuinely didn't know. Leave it to BHVR to release a new and "better" system that has no bearings on what you actually did in the match, just whether you straight up get kills or escape.

    I mean as survivor, yes it should be more flexible because solo q exists and whatnot so basing it on escapes is dumb, but as killer you need kills, a killer that cannot kill is worthless, tutorial trapper can do their job at that point.

    I actually have improved matchmaking for the past few days, either they did something to the algorithm or the huge drop post event somehow made this already completely worthless system even more thrash. Somehow.

    Well the (steam) olayerbase went back to pre anniversary event numbers from the public stats.

    Don't know how it looks on other platforms but i guess it isn't that different and thanks to the announcements of meta shut down i guess maybe the distribution between solo, killer and swf might also have shifted coupled with the unknown distribution of the leaving people in terms of their MMR.

    For me nothing has changed. As survivor, it's the same random groups/killers before 19:00, the relatively good teams until 23:00 and mostly weak teams from 23:00. (I may stop playing after that hour.)

    This is only going to make it go down too. A lot of Solo players aren't going to want to put up with Timmy No Thumbs trying to do what his favorite tuber saw and try to get 6 hits in a game while no gens are being done. lmfao


    I agree with an above post. They need to have everything a surv does count towards MMR. It's different for Killer, but for solo survivor everything you do in a match should count.

    It's actually not that different for killer though?

    If you avoid tunneling, camping and/or slugging and keep survivor playtime in mind you can easily end up with a 4e all on death hook, dozens of hits, chases, broken pallets, gen regress but in the end for the MMR you lost and nothing else.

    And you have to work with that kind of playstyle in mind when many just right out want to make tunneling,camping and slugging just impossible.

    You have to adjust the game so that the desired playstyle is even fun and leaves a chance to the other side.
