Should Hillbilly have his overheat removed?

In my opinion overheat isn’t necessary because Hillbilly has a very versatile kit but those elements of his kit aren’t the best in the game allowing for counterplay, also with map design becoming seemingly anti-Hillbilly with maps like Eeyrie and Garden with hard to curve loops, weird hit boxes, and increased clutter especially with map reworks overheat simply isn’t necessary.

    Hear me out:

Current overheat is dumb imo but i think reworking it to function differently would be better than outright removal

I.E remove overheat disabling his power, make it so it makes the saw deal a single healthstate if overheated. This can serve as a small anti-infinite feathering/anti facecamp measure and nothing else

    Like Cannibal's tantrum meter

Should current overheat be removed? Yes.

Should there not be an overheat mechanic? No.

Right now you build way more heat by revving than by running, which doesn't really make sense. Revving is like warming the engine up from an idle state whereas Running would be the engine going at normal/max power (I am not a mechanic or mechanical engineer so I might be wrong with the examples). So which would generate more heat: Spinning up the engine or Pushing it to the max for several seconds? If anything; heat generation should be somewhat low at first while Running and build up faster the longer the run.

Not to mention, tbf, I don't remember why Billy got slapped with the overheating nerf in the first place.

imo overheat should only build during the charging/feathering

It baffles me how Billy can lose his power for just using it, can't be helpful for people learning him it must be frustrating af

There are roughly a dozen killers that can get better results than Billy with less effort right now. Billy would be back in A-tier where he belongs if BHVR would:

    • Remove overheat
    • Restore FOV
    • Restore animations
    • Fix wonky collision hitboxes
    • Bring back basic charge add-ons, but remove their ability to stack (for all practical intents and purposes, limiting their use to offsetting the downside of an engraving add-on). No bringing back old carburetor tuning guide, just the yellow and brown charge add-ons. If that's too much, then just reduce their efficacy instead of removing them entirely

No one in their right mind has ever complained that a curve Billy took no skill to play. Even if Billy was unmurdered with all of these buffs, he'd still not be cracking the top 5 in the killer roster anymore, and he'd still arguably be the most fun killer to verse. Survivors are facing nurse and blight all day anymore when they could be facing billy instead

It is redundant, simple as that.

It is hard to overheat on purpose, so the addons connected are useless (have no clue why one of them is purple).

And it's very annoying to get overheated just because you used your power for traversal long enough.
