New Prestige Portrait
Will the new scratch mark portrait background for those who already p3'd be visible to others now too, or just client side?
If only I can see it, it doesn't really feel special, or like any kind of bragging rights.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought thats what they specifically said, the reward would have "bragging rights" attached to it during the 6th anniversary stream?

It's not even about playing longer? It's the fact that some people spent time prestiging their characters and losing items and offerings and they aren't getting compensated for it.

It was an ugly pointless reward before, it's a pointless reward after the dev update.
I'll never be tired of saying it, this so called reward is an insult to what you had to sacrifice in order to prestige.
I don't care if they improved it, it is not proper compensation.
I'll take bloodpoints over a different portrait I'll need to disable later, at least I can use those to pay for the stupid prestige tax.

If you always prestiged right away, the only thing you really lost was the perks, the add-ons...why would that matter, they easily show up again, and event items, which yeah, that sucks but that's really the only thing

Well I have P3 most of my favourite characters so I am happy with this. Only the new Botany nerf left a sour taste in my mouth with upcoming patch

"The only thing you lost. . . " Well, it costs close to 5 million bloodpoints to get a character to P3. If you P3'ed several (or all) characters, that's many, many millions of extra bloodpoints spent. People who tried to P3 every character vastly increased the grind for themselves.

Well, for me it's over 500 cakes lost, which was done based on what they promised during stream / dev update, yet failed to deliver.

It will still work really well with circle of healing so at least it’s not useless. Anything else you liked or didn’t like?

Yea I just dislike they adding penalties to perks now? Like Botany and Calm spirit. Just make it not get speed bonus when using medkit?
Other changes are fine I guess. Its a lot to process and since I cant use PTB, I will need few days of playing on new patch to see how the game changes.
Especially curious about 90s gens and stronger killer chase buffs.
Iron will and spine chill over nerfed, will need to see new versions and also how the entire "make survivors volume more similar" turns out. Thana was overbuffed and killers like Legion and Plague with pentimento will be M1 simulators even more than now.
Overall Im happy meta and game is changing and hopefully it will be for the better.

Yeah calm spirit a perk that no one used because it was trash was made worse somehow. I can’t wait for when they adjust the survivors pain grunts as a Claire main. Ridiculous that ace is so quiet and someone like Jane is so loud. Im really happy about them giving 2 free prestige levels too

Well not trying to come off as rude, but why would you prestige? Y'know it's BHVR, they wouldn't give us anything special for P3 all characters

It probably wont. At least - even though it still isnt a bragging reward as it shoud - it has a better fit to the game design.

What exactly do you think skins and clothes and charms are for, bud? People want to be proud of what they've accomplished. Nothing wrong with that. It's not putting anyone else down.
