why does nobody mindgame anymore??

In addition to what others are saying, there's a just a ton of safe tiles/pallets everywhere that you can't even mind game if you wanted too.

it will be better next Tuesday when survs change dh for sb. You’ll see how many survs try to loop you.

It’s better to just brute force pallet drops now.

Gonna be honest I absolutely suck ass at mindgames so brute forcing pallets is my strategy

Personally, I wouldn't bother looping a dredge.
Most of his power related animations are very hasty and guarantee hits if the survivor is close enough. (e.g. teleporting to a remnant, coming out of a locker) Holding w against him wastes a lot of his time and is more effective then even trying to loop him.

Many of the new loops on reworked or recently released maps have little to no room for mindgames. On The Game, almost every pallet is safe. On Cowshed, they are not only safe but also chained together. Then there's Eyrie of crows and also a few insane loops in RPD.
I still mindgame a lot and still see many killers mindgaming, but it's not hard to believe it got a little less relevant in the direction map design took.

As a Huntress main i have to moonwalk (badly) and mind game alot, here slower speed on loops makes it requirement as not every wall you can hatchet over,
and those that you should be able to throw over you cant because you're next to them and Anna has sore shoulders so she can't raise a hatchet high enough to throw over a car bonnet.

Bloodlust should not deactivate when kicking pallets.

The maps have been reworked in a way that you can usually see through walls and to the next part of the tile, so mind games aren't even necessary.
Besides that, you can only mind game with a M1 killer, with a killer of movement speed of ~115%. Those are the weakest killers, and as has been mentioned before, the risk isn't worth it. It's much better to slap on Enduring and Bamboozle to force pallet drop and move onto another tile, until survivors become completely defenseless.. If you can make it in time, they're not gonna survive.
I've been playing mostly with Anna and Rin, and those don't mind game - Anna is too slow for that, and you do always get notified when I wind up a hatchet - Be it the sound cue when fully charged, the awful hitboxes (mostly screws me over than the survivors, to be honest), or the sound cue whenever she winds up a hatchet.
As for Rin, there's a directional audio cue, so.. All I can do is hope that the survivor is staying at the loop and running around like crazy. If not, I'm losing over ten meters in a distance and gotta travel the entire distance with ~110%, which means furthermore ~30 seconds of a chase in the best case scenario, which is equal to three generators being done by the time I'm done with this single hook. Yeah, I'm not gonna burn in add-ons and rely on them, thank you for the offer.
So.. The reason is, because most killers have been nerfed. Heavily. The survivors have been given lots of sound notifications, like, far too many for a healthy gameplay.
I do play both sides equally, but even I don't mind game as a survivor, it's not worth the risk. If I don't drop the pallet, I'm taking the hit, and if I'm not taking the hit, killer is there to bamboozle the only one window, forcing me to change a tile with pallet drop - This will force the killer to move around instead of going in a straight line, and I'm probably eating that hit..
