When will they add bots to the game?

When ı try to learn a new killer in this game I suffer. Idont have any friends so ı can not learn a new killer or very hard killers ( Blight/Nurse) in custom match.Adding bots to the game as soon as possible would be good for both new players and players ho want to learn a new killer.

they are in - in the "Get started-section".

It would be nice to add them in the custom match, just to fill when u are 4 people and not 5 or for yourself to try stuff out.

Bots in custom matches were confirmed in the anniversary stream and said to come in late 2022 (though it might take some more time, they haven’t stated a definite date)

They are human players that just don’t play the way you want them to..

thats correct. Unfortunately u have to play normal, but no problem. If u lost 3-4 games, your survivors will become weaker than bots would be. Thats how MMR works.

yeah, a lot of people have been wanting this and it is finally coming this year according to the roadmap (might be subject to change idk) but i am 99% sure that the people who think they're gonna learn anything going against bots will be heavily disappointed

i think the most you can learn in a bot match is how to use your power, for ex (blight rushes - bubba's chainsaw charges) or if you want to test something real quick without having to wait for someone

but how to effectively use that power in chase? how to run tiles? bots ain't gonna be much help with that.

i recommend watching yt videos and live streams, learn how other players play and then do it yourself and you'll improve.

The biggest benefit of custom matches against bots, other than learning the basics of a new killer’s abilities, is the ability to actually be able to just explore maps if you want without feeling guilty about ignoring the opponents. You can just wander around and check out the layouts and art and such as long as you want while the bots happily do their thing. I’d never consider doing that against human opponents, it’d be really disrespectful, so bots are a neat chance to really go around on my own and look at things more closely.

I'm pretty sure most of the killers I play against are bots. They seem programmed to stay close to the hook at any cost. They also seem programmed to leave their short lived chase to always go back to the hook. Very enthralling game play...

This is exactly the problem that killer-specific MMR was SUPPOSED to fix: get a new killer and play easier games to have a chance to learn how they work.

    UNFORTUNATELY, that was a lie.

How it actually works is that a killer you have played 0 games with gets a starting MMR score based on the scores of your other killers. Which means you end up playing a brand new killer against way better survivors and it is incredibly discouraging. Add on that MMR doesn't fall away nearly fast enough and you run into situations where you buy a new killer, get zero kills in 10+ games, and never way to play that character ever again.

And BHVR doesn't care because they already got your money.

So, we all await the era of bots. Sometimes 6 to 12 months from now.
