I miss the time Nurse Calling was an A tier perk.
Going Hit and Run Ghost Face and Wraith is a miserable experience right now with CoH killing the Pressure out right.
I miss the times when as a Wraith and Ghost Face you can see Survivors healing with plenty of time to get there to disrupt them and be scary af. Now Survivors are healing what feels like 20 secs after letting them go.
Hit and Run Strats made Nurse Calling A Tier back in 2019 and 2020. Now I don't see much value on Nurse Calling which is a shame.

I miss when I was actually scared of everything.
I miss Hawkins even though I hated it.
I miss being new to the game.
I miss cleansing kit totems, something I hardly see killers use these days.
I miss when people would chat in the lobby.

I will never forget A Nurse's Calling Meta.
I got it from the shrine in 2019 and had very fun matches with it. Helped me many times too.
If I was still playing DBD, I would certainly run it. Especially after this new update drops.
Everyone who follows the old ways has my respect.

I still use that perk. Nurse's + Sloppy.

I know we've both said this before, but you and I are very much alike :)

I always think about the times I was new. It was amazing and I want those days back.

I remember when I saw the Urban Evasion buff that increased the speed from 50 to 100% and I thought it was the best perk ever...
ahh good old times.

Nurse calling is actually really solid in my opinion, additionally with the patch buffing distortion to basically be perma-aura hiding with just one info perk(imagine running just BBQ, just Im all ears, just lethal, just darkness revealed). It could help to chew through tokens quickly without requiring a ton of extra work on your end.

Well said friend.

Thanks, my friend :)

I remember huddling around a gen and getting scared just by the increasing sound of the machine. I was by even in the killers terror radius, but jumped at every sound. And I missed like every skill check and had the gen constantly explode under me. Good times.

My very first match was against a Huntress on Old Azarov's Resting Place.
I was terrified, as Huntress is very scary for a new player. But, at the same time, I was loving every second of it.
Ah, there are no words to describe how much I miss my old and beloved game.

I miss being able to stealth in games but with the addition of so many aura reading addons, perks, and even killers powers that make that so impossible.
I guess we all miss something

It's still a good perk. It just became irrelevant overtime because after Ruin 1.0 nerf, gen times became and remained a problem which caused the slowdown meta.
When the CoH meta came out, that was 'A Nurses Calling' calling card, but gen speeds were still a problem, which kept A Nurses Calling irrelevant.

Hard to imagine that there once was a time when people didn't know what "looping" was and the go-to strategy was to evade the killer... or die in seconds.

When I was starting out to play I was bad at Looping and started out with stealth. It was fun which is why I love it so.

Will you be trying the game at all again after this big update?
1 -
No, I am afraid I won't. I will play it with friends if they want to, but returning full-time to the Fog is still not an option for me.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think this next patch is bad, per se. I do have disagreements of course, just like everyone else, but there are a few things there I think it is good for the game (DH nerf in particular).
But...
It just isn't what I need.

Nurses Calling was out of the Meta long before Boons were released. It is just the easiest to stack as many Slowdown-Perks as possible, so A Nurses Calling had no place anymore.

When I started learning Nurse recently, I started with a build that contained Nurse's, Thana, and Sloppy to put survivors in a difficult situation regarding healing. I figured that if I injured enough people, which is fairly easy with Nurse, I could force survivors into either revealing themselves or suffering from slowdown, all extended by sloppy.
What a fool I was.
A few games in, after a few successes, I had a game where 1 survivor with 1 boon managed to pull off a very fast heal right next to me. Turned out they were running CoH and Shadow Step. Every game afterwards, the same thing kept happening. 2 out of the 16 survivor perks countered 3 out of my 4.
Lesson learned: Thana and sloppy are useless in the boon meta, and CoH is always paired with Shadow Step when you least want it to be.

I used Nurse's Calling on Doc when it still worked on snapping out of it. When they removed that I was a bit sad, even though I understand why.

Nurse's Calling is still pretty solid.

It's still an awesome perk. I use it on a bunch of killers and always get value from it.

Its still a good perk and the anti healing perks got buffed so if anything its better than it used to be. A lot of people just aren't secure enough in themselves to give up their 3 gen perks builds.

I still love nurse's. I also ran it on doc every game back when it showed survivors snapping out of tier 3

That last one really got to me. Crossplay is great, but as a PC player it really killed the playerbase being talkative with their random teammates.

I really miss Slingers synergy with the Perk. It used to be such a fun alternative playstyle to him where you combined Nurses with Monitor and went for surprise shots on unaware Survivors, but that got entirely removed (despite being very fair for both sides, but we cant force survivors to pay attention now, can we?). So now we're back at everyone's favourite Perkbuilds of stacking slowdowns again, great.
I also lowkey miss its synergy it used to have with Doctor and it revealing Survivors who were snapping out of it. While I understand why they removed this (it was kinda unfair and ended up doing something that technically speaking wasnt mentioned in its description), it did heavily reduce its synergy with Doctors power and therefore saw a lot less usage on him.

They heal in less than 20 seconds for sure now.

I remember when Nurses Calling was Meta like BBQ back in 2016. It used to be 32 metres but since all Killers had a 32 metre Terror Radius until Myers came out it would basically make it where you couldn't stop healing in time before the Killer could see you because the TR was 32 metres and the range of NC was 32 metres.
They nerfed it to 28 metres so that Survivors could stop healing when they heard the Terror Radius so they could hide. Survivors played way safer and stealthier so being found by the Killer back then was a scary experience.
Now NC is more of a niche Perk so buffing it's range wouldn't be as crazy as it was. Or at least give Killers a kind of "Open Handed" counterpart so we can increase some Aura Reading ranges.
