When will behaviour fix totem and survivor spawns?
How many times do killers have to spawn into a game to find that their totem goes within a few seconds because the survivor spawned ontop of it.
I really enjoy running devour hope but when it gets clensed in the first 20 seconds of the game it just makes me sad because behaviour allows this sort of spawning.
Don't get me wrong. I don't mind my hex being clensed but when survivors don't have to look/work for it it just sucks and shouldnt really happen.

I thought they were working on improving spawn locations but nothing has been mentioned about it in a while.

For every hex that gets cleansed in the first 20 seconds there's a devour hope tucked behind a rock in a corner where no gens or tiles spawn that never gets found. That's the risk of a Hex, sometimes you might not get to use it, and sometimes it wins the game.

You sure about that? I'm more than confident that the majority of players on both sides already recognize almost all the totem spawns on every map with odd exceptions like Swamp/Garden of Joy/Lerys
There's also Maps, Small Game, Counterforce & Detective's Hunch

They won't, don't run hex perks other than Pentimento, Plaything, Haunted Grounds and Retribution. Also Noed if you're a villain.

Apparently the map team didn't get the message, Garden of Joy will spawn your totems right on the full-bright road.

100% this. Find a totem on the swamp map or Midwich.
I've been playing a long time. Totems used to be WAY easier to find. The locations now are about as good as it is gonna get.

That's a very optimistic, and somewhat naive, stance on the matter, but every one is entitled to their own views. It doesn't conform even remotely with my own experience, and judging by the posts here I am far from being alone, but individual experiences can vary, I guess. If this is her case, I really envy you!

Most posts don't echo this because people don't complain when things work in their favor. Why would you expect people to make posts like "Oh man, this Devour totem was in such a great spot and less me kill everyone fairly easy!" when "Man look at this bad totem spawn" gets more comments and interaction.

I would love to be able to place hex like survivors can place blessings (once for killers ofc.)

Hex perks are basically like gambling.

Honestly, it used to be worse. However, the RNG of a survivor Spawning next to a hex that is tucked away happens much more often than it should. About 75% of the time, (at least in my matches), 1-3 dull totems are gone within the first minute of the match, and the survivors aren't even running counterforce or small game. This really is something that should be fixed to allow for hexes to be viable again, instead of just for show

i think they should add more totem spawns in the corners to make them generally harder to find but keep the the obvious ones as
1) the risk and reward aspect of hexes
2) boons for survivors

Some form of corrupt intervention blocking totems for at least 90 seconds would be sweet.
I will never be convinced that it’s fair a totem can be cleansed inside the first 20 seconds of match.

Actually, no. In fact most survivors can't even find the most obvious Farm totems after 6 years.

Why do that when you can just nerf ruin even more, so the last few people still using it get the memo?

I don't know the ratio but it feels like for every dh totem that is hidden, there's 9 that are found right away. At least that's been my experience.

Some are even hard as hell to find in the farm maps.

As long as it takes just as long to hex a perk as it does to boon one.

because is BHVR , 😒is soo hard just to make all survivors spawn together and making all of them 12 meters far away of a gen / totem.

If its that big of a problem they have a perk called undying just for that problem

Once I spawned so close to a Hex totem that I didn't even have to move to cleans it. It was great :)
