Iron Will nerf is a big opportunity to see the most fun killer more often
I don’t struggle against the perk as much but I get why the perk was the main reason didn’t want to play Spirit. It’s not unbeatable but it wasn’t necessarily fair a lot of the time (although the devs didn’t have to destroy the perk the way they did at all).
I really hope we see Spirit more often. I feel like I’ve gone against more Blights and Huntresses in the past month than I’ve seen Spirit in the past 6 months, and that makes me a sad boi. I need to see her more, my game experience will be complete if I do.
Also side note, I did say Spirit is the most fun killer in the title but I’m obviously saying it as a subjective term. She’s the most fun to me but I do understand why people may not find her fun, and that is ok.

I have seen an uptick in nurse players in my games unfortunately. Blights have been rare

Honestly i miss facing Spirit 5 times in a day and now she so rare.

Perhaps we all need a break from things, but it’s time to get Spirit back into the mix.

The Iron Will nerf is long overdue. They massively buffed Iron Will to completely negate Spirit as a killer, then they nerfed Spirit on top of that, without undoing Iron Will.
No one survivor perk should totally invalidate a killer's power.

I had a little phase with Artist, but I was never in love with her. I’ll still play her because she is fun.

I bought her long ago and played her for a white before the nerf but I had to use stridor all the time since I can't wear headsets they hurt my ears so using speakers I can't hear survivors properly, I just gave up on her ages ago but I will try her again next patch.
She's on of my most hated killer to go against I can't properly hear her direction you can't loop her you can't drop pallets safely it's just pain not a fun killer to go against but I never see her again since the nerf.

Hey bro, I miss her too. I actually always liked playing against Rin. She would certainly be my main killer if I didn't have such problems with the audio in DBD. I will definitely play her more often after the IW nerf <3

I’m just glad all 3 of my mains (Jane, Jeff and Haddie) might actually be made quieter now. As for spirit of it means less nurse and blight then I’m all for it

Hopefully they can make those survivors quieter and quiet survivors louder. Ace has free Iron Will and loud survivors are way easier to catch. I'm all for a balance there.

The thing is it doesn't negate Spirit, it just makes you have to play against them differently. As I said in the OP it's not unbeatable.

I myself havent touched spirit since her directional audio debut so its been a while. She was my main for a longtime and unfortunately got a bit butchered. Hopefully she can bring a bit of terror back and I will say this and I will mean it...if gannman is excited for the changes and finds her decent again then I myself will dust her off as I dont think she has a bigger cheerleader then you.

I started playing on a PC account recently so I had a fresh start. Decided I wanted a new survivor in my rotation (Still a Jane main for life) and I like Haddie’s cosmetics and lore. She’s quite unique especially compared to more recent original survivors and I like that her body type is different

Yeah I’d say Quentin is probably the perfect audio level. Not too loud but you can consistently hear him when you should

Yeah they never mentioned general audio so I’m worried Jeff and Ash specifically will still be outliers since everything they do is loud (Not going to stop me playing him though)

We talked about this already in another thread, but I am looking forward to givr Rin another spin and honest try.
I am really excited for the big patch in less then two days! Not only will we get a lot of qol added to all killers gameplay, I will also be finally be able to play any killer whatever way I want, as I got all but two to P1. The last 2 got some 35 flans between them and I wanna try to get rid of at least the ones on plague, as she got some pretty important perks. I am still debating with myself if I should nuke the 20 flans on Blight, but I guess that those flans would easily pay for the prestige during the next bloodhunt, and Blight hasn't that important perks anyway.

If they bring all the survivors at the same sound level it will make phasing more consistent which is nice

Started playing after that IW change so I have no experien with her before that.. Can't really rely on visuals like moving gras cau'se I have to play on the lowest graphics, otherwise my computer would melt I guess xD
Playing her is so much fun but it really felt like an impossible challenge for me to go against IW squads - very curious about the new experience <3

I'm convinced they will. Every match, or 1v1 with Survs without IW, are extremely fun - so I'm already longing for that experience in every match :D

Her power wasn't invalidated. You still had scratch marks, footsteps, grass, and survivors making noise when doing certain actions. You probably relied on stridor too much (if you used it) whenever you played Spirit since grunts of pain were and are not the only way of detecting survivors.
