Does the update have an official release date?
I know everyone wants the update to come out this week (including me), but does it have an officially confirmed date yet?

Everyone says it's the 19th. And it seems believable based on previous updates.

The 19th (tomorrow) is the earliest it could be.
It's not always a tuesday, given that the most recent PTB started/event ended on a wednesday. Which could given credence to a wednesday drop for the patch too.

If it were tomorrow, it would have been officially announced by now. I'd say next week. Sorry.

They never announce updates weeks/days before (unless is a new licensed chapter), they just say "Hey, update is out lol" or "Update coming in a few hours".

My memory may be a bit hazy, but we usually get a bit of hype for the new Tomes and to date I've seen nothing aside from the possible twitter image of a rabbit today.

Yes, when it comes to Events, Skins, Tomes and Licensed Chapters, they announce weeks/months before.
But updates are usually announced a few hours before its release.

You would think with this Mid-Chapter of all patches they would announce at last 24 hours in advance so people knew to Prestige 1 their characters if they wanted to before the patch went live. I have seen countless people say they are going to wait until BHVR announces it before Prestiging...to which I tell them: Yeah good luck with that! These are the people who are going to be angry when they login and boom everything has changed with no consideration or notice from BHVR that they have lost their chance at a prestige bump.
It's poor communication and community maintenance withholding the planned date of big patches like this.... Not bashing BHVR - just find it odd that with a company with such a negative reputation of being bad at communication and caring about their community that they choose to continue the pattern which exacerbates that reputation.

I'm P1'ing as many of my characters as I can. End of day, I have the amount of time I have, can't change that. But it'd be nice to know if today was the last day or if I had another week. They KNOW people are doing this too. If its coming down to the wire at least give us a day.

I assumed it was the end of the month but I'll be trying to prestige my useless survivors tonite just in case

The official relesse date is coming after I stop playing. Which should be very soon.
