extra 10 seconds on gens...

literally barely anything... but what will not change is gen regression. killers will always run these types of perks making gens even longer and then solo suffers... this longer gen time is great but unless we make a way for solo players to be efficient on gens i feel like gen regression might be overbearing.

what do you guys think?

    Just another point of view.

I play more casual and dont have those regresion perks. So to me that dont have access to those perks may help.

oh really?! thats good and corrupt will def be less useful but i was mainly using examples of how everyone feels the need to run it and still will because it will be even stronger

but if they are genuinely nerfing gen regression along with gen speeds then thats good

since i play huntress i def use gen regress since it can be hard if you have smart survs and most survs know how to dodge and use los blockers so its definitely useful

If someone is using ruin as their gen regression perk, they have effectively handed you the W even if it's solo Q

Every killer perk you listed was nerfed in some way in the upcoming patch(minus DMS,but it's synergy with pain resonance is no longer a thing)

    Its relatively easy:

Survivors must repain gens, thats their main goal. They can heal, they can unhook, they can flashlight-save, they can work with boons.

So, as a killer, you can use perks who make healing harder, which makes flashlights useless, but in the end, what u have to protect, what your main goal is, are protecting the gens while killing the survivors.

If survivors have to repain 4 gens and clanse 4 totems, then u wont run only Gen-Defense (+ a bit of chase).

There are more options available now since the really powerful regression perks got nerfed. Ruin could work with certain Killers (stop 99% gens with Pig, pair it with Surveillance to get info especially with Nemesis' zombies). Jolt will be seen more but relies on downs as does Eruption.

Pop no longer pairs as nicely with other kicking perks and Overcharge is of very low utility again. Call of Brine will become more used which gives opportunities for more Blast Mind Residual Manifest shenanigans (kick and lose aura reading for 30s for the Killer).

Pain Res no longer gives info but Sabateurs will no see which hooks are Scourge hooks and can counter that perk.

With combining OTR and Sprint Burst Bubba's saw can be outrun. If somebody doesn't want to risk another survivor take Deliverance or Slippery Meat paired with Ace's luck perk and Vigo's Salty Lips.

Thana got a minor buff but it only works well with Legion or Plague and paired with Pentimento and/or Gift of Pain (both of which can be played around).

Lightweight might be interesting for stealth now.

The people who will be hurt the most are the hard core tunnelers, NOED users and Dead Hard users. They're will be a big shift that way but there will be a lot of new ways to play now and a stronger variety of builds

10 seconds per generator is significant. How many times have you been walking to a generator and it finishes before you get there? Now imagine in a bunch of those prior you had up to 10 additional seconds, how many times would you have stopped the progress and driven them off?

    that doesn't make any sense

how many times have you finished a gen right in the killer's face?

2 seconds more and you'd be snatched from it and hooked, how is it that 10 seconds PER generator doesn't help?

people just want the killer to get 4k all games, they're just afraid of saying it.

These changes are just more band-aid on a open wound....

What they could've done was increase Base regression (.25 to .50)

And then make the necessary changes to the regression perks

    Then make more map changes

Don't blame solo for slow gens. Being objective-phobic is not a solo issue, it's a bad player one.

More than once I have been left to gens while the 3m swf is goofing off.

The problem is not nor has it ever been the speed on gens. The real problem is map design and more specifically the strength of pallets. Pallets are the strongest resource survivors have in chase and they begin the game with all of them for free. On some maps even average skill loopers can easily run a killer for a long time juts by pre dropping pallets and holding W. At the start of the match when survivors have the most at their disposal one or two chases take an eternity. This makes the first and even sometimes the second gen basically free. People see this and go wow gens are too fast when in reality the problem is chases are too long. They need to bring gen speeds down and nerf slowdown perks while also fixing the maps and pallet placement so chases are shorter.

The problem is that bad mmr, nothing else. I have +5k hours and get killers in a range from 100-10.000 hours with… the newbies get destroyed but on a equal level the matches are very fun/fair with killers that 2-4k mostly. With all these upcoming changes they try to buff new players for such unfair games instead of fixing this matchmaking! For better killer it will be ez in the future and games will be very boring… I think a lot of player (survivor) will look for other games…

it will be good for legion ane plague to, they can get a head start on injuring all survs for thanataphobia and when everyone is injured, Corrupt deactivates when the get the 1st down

I mean you're ignoring that some of the changes do help solo queue. For example, Ruin meant absolutely nothing to SWF because it effectively meant one person would look for Ruin, and if someone was on a progressed gen and being chased, that person looking for Ruin would then hop on the gen and finish it.

Ruin was really hard on solo queue because if you were solo and on a gen, you absolutely had to commit to a gen and not save, even if you should, as one example. I don't disagree solo needs some serious love, but the fact is this game is balanced around the idea of gen regression existing. If you thought, or think, it will ever go away then you are very wrong.
