can anyone tell me if dead by daylight will ever receive support for proton EAC?
I would really like to play it on the steam deck :(

I don’t think it’s been confirmed to come yet.
but it has been requested and the devs/BHVR is aware it’s a community wish, see this comment in a pretty big thread with this topic:

This is untrue, the dev have confirmed the game will be available on the steam deck(and because of that also linux in general).
Lots of people are upset because it has been made really easy to implement it and they haven't done so yet but bear in mind they don't just have to do it, they also need to test everything works as intended on a new platform.
Should it have been done by now? yes
The people saying "it's super easy, just do it" are wrong? also yes
