What I have noticed
If a killer has 0-1 gen slowdown/regression perk the games are really fair and fun, this also depends on the killer. I as I have tried out killer and survivor this is what I have seen
As killer
- Weaker killers generally need 1-2 gen regression perks to have a fair and fun match
- Stronger killers (I only play blight amongst the top tiers) need none or one slightly strong one
As survivor
- I highly recommend not being as 'cocky' as usual, leave the gen and run as soon as you hear the terror radius and be more stealthy, use Information perks and stealth perks.
- Prove thyself will be meta as long as killers run 4 gen regression perks every game. Honestly 4 gen regression perks is over kill if you are even just decent at the game
In conclusion, yes this patch has made killers much stronger and survivors lost their meta perks. If survivors become more stealthy and the devs either need to nerf gen regression perks further or make it so the killer can only run 2 at a time. This is coming from a player that mostly plays killer.
Another thing the devs could do is bring more SWF options to solo que. While yes it is too early to tell what should be done, these are my ideas for now

Survivors wanna be "cocky" and dominate the killer in dbd, that's why we're seeing so many survivors crying over the update. They wanna keep being the power role so bad.

So what is the point to your comment? It adds nothing to what I said other than more toxicity into the community which is totally unnessicary

If you think these "tips" you're giving out are gonna be received and used by survivors, you're wrong. I'm already getting a lot of survivors just giving up and killing themselves on hook even though i'm playing M1 killers and not camping one bit. Hence my comment.

I am putting them out there for the survivors that wanna listen! :) If they wanna keep bashing their skull against a wall then that is there own problem

Yeah I’ve started running only 2 regression perks on Pinhead (Eruption and call of brine). Chase perks are much more viable now with brutal strength and STBFL being my go to options

Gl playing stealthy against Legion LOL

But what he said is true nevertheless 😉

I recommend going into the middle of a pallet and dropping it as soon as you get hit. Be cautious of enduring though, the better players tend to use it

Technically regression is more viable than it used to be because of the changes. I mean, by all means, run chase perks. But it does not really make sense to drop them. Well, I would drop Eruption and Call if Brine because... Lol.

I think you misunderstood me. I never play stealthy as survivor. I am the Legion in that scenario and the stealth players are usually the most easy to down once they get found. But even in case you managed to sneak away, I can just frenzy someone else and find you again. Unlike most other killer players I really like hooking everyone 3 times :)

Very good assertion.
I have for a long time suggested here and there (never made a feedback post about it) that perk composition should somehow be moderated, either by introducing certain perk classes, like regression or slowdown, that can only be taken 1-2, or giving perks a point value, with the more meta perks costing more of your allotment.
And in the survivors case, maybe show all survivors the others builds and introduce diminishing returns if certain perks are taken several times. DH in the past would have been much more manageable if it got +10s extra exhaustion per other survivor who used it or maybe a juicy global exhaustion counter if all four were insisting on running it.
Diversity in builds is much more fun then always seeing the same old meta build, so that's the intention behind this idea of mine, not nerfing survivors into the ground.

100% 4 regression is more viable than before (just different perks now). I never liked running that anyway and having more off meta regression being viable is cool

It's only the first day. Give it some time for everyone to adapt.
