Would it be possible to center MMR around average player score

Title.

We know the way mmr is currently balanced doesn't make a ton of sense in that it doesn't take into account how much you did during the game only the end result. So what if we balanced around your average player score after the game and then gave it a range of +/- 3,000? I feel like that would take into account everything players do over the course of the game better. I think this is even better with caps being increased to 10,000 creating a wider range and I would think therefore being more accurate.
