Console Inner focus bug

Inner focus isn’t working as intended. Me and a few friends have been running the perk together just to try it and not once has the aura reading portion of the perk activated. My friends have been hit directly next to me and the killers aura hasn’t been shown. Unsure if this is an issue on pc as well

In general, the buff this perk needed was unlimited or at least Empathy range for the killer aura. Obviously, it's bugged, but the amount of times I get zero aura value out of this perk is crazy. It has potential to be such a good perk for beamer goblins, etc...but right now it's almost useless.
