Fun build suggestion with the new meta?

So it's been a little while since the update dropped. I played it for the first time today, as survivor.

I'm not here to complain about the killers being un-fairplay or survivor being too hard, in that regard I played three games, none of the killers tunneled and the slugging / camping that happened was sparse and purely strategic. Also I escaped 2 out of three games, the third one being against a wraith whom I hate and don't really try to survive against because i want to move on the next game. Anyways I was just testing the waters and didn't play enough to really gauge how the power balance feels yet.

For the first game I tried the following build: Lithe / Dance With Me / Lightweight / Fixated. It didn't work well, but also I'm going to switch Fixated with Q&Q or Iron Will, bc fixated was only equipped so I could see Lightweight's effect.

For the second game I tried a healer build: Botany / Self-care / WGLF / Empathy. I only got to heal one teammate, not bc of the build but because I'm in solo q and everyone has a medkit these days so they don't need me lol.

For the third game I used the same build but switched WGLF with Bite the Bullet, I got a decent number of heals, but I still wasn't satisfied with it. Self-caring is just so slow omg, I never used it before the update and I saw people saying the Botany + Self-care combo was buffed so I tried it out, and needless to say I'm going to take Self-care out and probably bring CoH bc I can't bring a medkit with botany now (hate that btw).

Anyways, the conclusion is that I stopped playing after three games because I was soo bored. Like, everyone played fairplay, some smart moves were made but ?? Idk this just felt like a gen simulator. I haven't played DBD since before the last rift closed, so I'm kind of sad i feel the same way after 3 games in the new meta that i usually do after bleeding the game for days because there's an event.

I'll try playing some more tomorrow, both as survivor and killer, before making up my mind about all of this but maaan it's not looking good fun-wise. It's not looking awful either (probably bc i haven't had any sweat game yet) but it's just very meh.

If anyone has a fun build that works with the new meta (aka that doesn't imply me throwing the game away to the dismay of my poor solo q teammates) please drop it in the comments :)

Circle + Botany makes your self heal 16s which is the same as another survivor

Also run We'll make it if you want to counter the thana meta

My healing build at the moment is Circle + Botany + Empathetic connection + We'll make it

You can swap Empathic for desperate measures or renewal. Renewal if you want your build to reward you for healing, desperate measures if you want to counter the thana meta even harder

Yeah I'll definitely use CoH, i'll try switching bite the bullet with We'll make it as well to be more efficient! Thanks

I recommend starting with a general build, and then swapping stuff out from there. Off the Record for tunneling and a second chance, Prove Thy Self for gens, Unbreakable for slugging, and a "chase" perk which could be any endurance perk but I also consider Lightweight, Lucky Break, Dead Hard or anything that is gonna turn the table during a chase.

Lightweight, Quick and Quiet, Head On and Dance With Me. Or you can change Lightweight to something else. Helps me get out of a lot of chases.

Here are some builds that I've experimented with so far.

Metal of Man, WGLF, BT, DH

BT, Guardian, We'll Make It, SB

Built To Last, Counterforce, Overzealous, Deja Vu, Commodious Toolbox

Bite The Bullet, Overcome, Lucky Break, Built To Last, Med Kit

Built To Last, Desperate measures, Botany, Lithe, Med Kit

This has nothing to do with the update but I really love running Sprint Burst, Urban Evasion, Self-Aware and Vigil.

I am currently running Open Handed + Bond combo paired with We'll make it and balanced landing.

It's a build that focus on you healing your team and being aware of your surroundings but you're totally exposed you don't have DS/OTR or Adrenaline

With all the top tier killers being stronger and Spirit becoming more popular with this new patch you ALWAYS want to know where your teammates are and keep your team healed ASAP that's where We'll make it comes in having a 100% healing speed increase for 90 seconds will help you with this task.

I am using balanced Landing beceause it is my favorite exhaustion perk but you could go with Lithe/Sprint Burst having a exhaustion perk is almost mandatory strong killers will catch up to you really fast you need to make some distance well at least try.

Now this isn't the best build for SoloQ but I love taking care of my team and being able to heal them fast is good can't waste anymore seconds with the new 10 seconds on gens.

You can replace Balanced with Prove thyself but most survivors in my lobbies run Prove so I don't have to worry about it.

I hope you will try this build and maybe it'll make your life easier in this SoloQ hellfest.
