Have SoloQ been worse for you?

I have heard a lot of people complaining about SoloQ, that now is worse than before, so I played a couple of matches without kindred to how it really was and I played with very decent killers and very good survivors, and in almost every match I escaped or I ended sacrificing for someone else. Almost no camping, no tunneling. Actually I think SoloQ is much better than before but what Yo do think?

Solo Q, Duo's and Trio's have all been much worse than before for me.

Who wants to play against mega-slowdown Legion or Double Range Nurse while gens take longer?

Can I play in your world, just for once? Because I either get a completely green 10 hours killer, or heavy tunneler/camper and lots of toxicity. I don't mind to die in the end, but I want at least to play a game, not fulfil some sweaty agenda of some insecure kid playing as killer.

And it's more campy/tunnely now, than it was before the patch. How so?

For me it was bad, i have had not best games, many teamates just DC or suicide on hook, i have had campers and tunnelers in game as well, survivors unhooking pretty not safe tho since BT is basekit.

I read somebody wrote it depends on MMR ? There r long waitings times for killers, not enough survivors so MMR doesnt work perfect now I guess. I have couple of thousands hours in game and I had newbies survivors as teamates, lower than 100 hours and we were playing against nurse. My teamates was downed insta, very fast game. So now i play killer, its kinda much more easier for me than before.

At one point last night I had 3 slowdown Legions in the span of 5 matches. I gotta say, I wasn't trying my best after awhile because it's mind-numbingly tedious.

Generally speaking when I get a game with people on my skill level we blow the killer away.

When you get people who rage quit the game is either instantly lost and the only winning is somehow getting a pip.

I feel like most survivors were boosted with their MMR compared to how the game is now.

I think mmr is a bit... off. Like, I'm by no means a good survivor, but I'm getting paired with "baby survivors". They crouch at the edge of the map and get into lockers when they hear a terror radius.

So yeah, it's worse, but it's more because of my teammates than the killers.

My biggest problem is the matchmaking. The higher rank I got the worse teammates I get.

Most of the games I lost have been because of teammates dc and suicide.

Quite surprised on top rank that one game I got really good team that help each other, and the very next game I end up with teammates that throw all pallets even when the killer is nowhere close to them, they just hear the terror radius and they starting dropping pallets like crazy, so when you actually need it for mind games in a chase they are all gone..

But I really like that both killers and survivors are using so many different perks, so you don’t really know what to expect right now. That’s really cool :)

Yes but mostly because the community is so demoralized and salty that half my games are instant 2 and 3 v 1.

I am pretty much 100% solo queue nowadays, and I'm nowhere near the best survivor, but I do feel like I have good game sense. Here are my two cents:

Dealing with killers directly has been easier to be honest. You no longer need BT as a requirement to save survivors from face camps, and Off the Record effectively means you get to start your second chase with two health states if they come back to hook and tunnel. It also makes it possible to escape the basement yourself with Deliverance, which is insane for stopping basement parties.

Dead hard was nerfed, but I didn't really use it anyway. Decisive Strike duration nerf is a little painful, but I would rather have Off the Record over the 5 second stun anyway. Also no longer works at endgame, which is fair since the killer has no choice but to camp the hook by then, but worth mentioning since SWFs might value their friends escaping over themselves.

I do notice with Kindred that alot of survivors seem to just... give up. Or at least are wasting time doing nothing. I have legit watched as someone gets hooked, and at least one of the survivors will just abandon their gen and never come back to it. I have had Pain Resonance trigger on my gen that I had just start working on with around 15-20% progress.

Like excuse me, is nobody doing gens anymore? Yes the gens have been nerfed by 10 seconds, but what that pretty much means is that instead of popping a gen when the first surv goes down, you pop a gen as they get picked up and carried to the hook.

Honestly, solo q feels terrible right now. There's no balance between getting a killer who's exponentially better or exponentially worse than you are. and teammates may honestly be the biggest killer, second only to the stacking of slowdowns this patch was meant to improve. If my 90% gen gets hit with 3 Pain Res in the span of a minute, I don't care that I didn't scream, I care that I've just wasted 80 seconds of time when I know my teammates aren't doing anything helpful. The downfall of this patch for me is that you spend less time doing fun, interactive things (getting chased, helping teammates) and much more time sitting and doing gens, or you just all get slugged and die at four gens. I feel this patch has empowered many more killers to camp and tunnel, since they know for a fact gens can't be done quickly to punish this. SWF can handle this new meta much more ably than solo queue, which makes many solo players feel they've been left in the dust.

It's not fun at all to play solo q and so ive stopped and started playing other games that i can actually enjoy. I'll only play with friends but even then its rare for everyone to escape, which is fine but seriously screw solo q...

Well yes killers are buffed... automatically solo Q is even weaker . I'm playing killer until they help solos a bit, even with long queues it's still far less frustrating, and there are too many players abusing legion thana and very sweaty 4 slowdown builds from previous meta it's just not fun to play against these people
