Legion seems very powerful post-patch

I have been a survivor main ever since I started playing the game back in 2017, but have been playing killer frequently over the last 6 months as either spirit or legion. Since the mid-chapter update and the changes to how endurance works, it seems as though Legion is a good counter to most, if not all, endurance perks since Feral Slash gives the survivor deep wounds.

I have noticed that since the update my kill rate has gone from a 2k average to a 4k average, but I am unsure whether that is because of the killer buff, survivor nerf and endurance changes, or all 3. The number of games I play now where there is at least one dc as soon as the survivors figure out I am Legion has increased as well, which makes the game less fun for me, and the other survivors as they have to do 4 survivors worth of gens, but have 1/2 fewer people to do it.

I haven't played survivor since the update due to my friends and I not really being able to play at the same time, so we can't play it together (I have been playing killer because of this and because I want to become good at both sides of the game).

My question is, what does the community think of the state of Legion vs Endurance perks, and the overall climate of the game since the mid-chapter update?

I think base-kit Legion and most of their add-ons are fine. I also think Legion affecting Endurance is okay since their power is non-lethal unless all survivors are in the area. I think they should rework Never-Sleep Pills as it is annoying to go against and makes their power not have any real challenging downside. I think the problem with Legion is not Legion themselves but rather Thana and how well it pairs with Dying Light, Gifts of Pain, the extra seconds added to gens, and Legion's power altogether. I think they should revert the Thana values or change Thana to affect healing speeds and exit gates instead of the gen speeds and other actions it affects.

"If Legion continues to be oppressive" that killer that rely on just mindgames to get a down?🤔 ..basically legion gets destroyed if the entire team is smart if they dont you get good results , i still didnt got hit by a single 5HIT instadown since the rework, am lucky i guess🤤.

"shortening the mend time" --->to 8 seconds instead of 10 YES PLEASE ....and for the love of Nea removing the purple blade that increases mending time . that addon really needs a rework , since gens takes longer doesnt make any sense that mending + an addon ,takes 14 seconds to just mend, thats disgusting😴.

as a legion main i just run chase builds because they are more fun, while slowdown builds are so boring to play as legion and against.

imho the reason why legion is so oppressive at the moment is all due to the dead hard nerf.

since you will be injured most of the time, dead hard was the only thing preventing a legion from closing a chase extremely quickly (well, aside for bad map rng). With dead hard gone, survivors play with one single health state against Legion (or, if they heal up, they'll never finish the gens anyway)

Legion is still one of the weakest killers in the game.

If everyone is using Endurance, it doesn't really benefit Legion. In fact, if the Legion isn't careful, it actually does more harm than good. FF against a Deep Wounded target breaks FF, so more Endurance means a higher chance that FF will get less value. This also makes the fabled fifth hit less likely to occur. Otherwise, it changes basically nothing. Legion doesn't ACTUALLY benefit from Deep Wounds, it's just something attached to FF that doesn't otherwise empower Legion any more than it would another Killer with the same build.

The Legion slowdown build has always been possible, it's just scarier now because it's a higher number. If the devs feel like nerfing it so people stop saying that every Legion game is 164 second gens, I wouldn't blame them. That said, I don't think it would actually change much in actual gameplay, it would just make the playerbase happier knowing it's not possible.

EDIT: Shortening the Mend timer would probably make a lot of people happier. It would also make it more likely that people Mend during FF and cause another FF hit, increasing the chances of a FF Fifth hit. It's a double edged sword. Yes, smart players won't let that happen, but if you're in SoloQ, well, you can guess what will happen.

Before the patch he could not use his power to down a survivor if they were spread out. Post patch, same thing. This is a killer that cannot use his power to down. Which means he is pure M1 at loop. We know what survivors do to that.

I played a legion game on Garden of Joy, arguable one of the worst killer maps and definitely a one of the harder maps for legion. They barely managed to do 2 gens. Anyone who is telling you to just "adapt to the meta" is a killer main that doesn't want to get nerfed.

If by “powerful” you mean “‘more boring and miserable to play against than ever”, then yes I agree.

I'd say he got a bit stronger for sure,,but the problem is his playstyle,,no single person playing survivor enjoys legion games because of the mending,,,even if i escape vs legion i feel mentally drained and defeated
