Dear Survivors STOP THROWING MATCHES!

So now that your precious DH no longer makes you a "God" you throw matches...

Now that gens take a wee bit longer to do you just throw matches...

Now that you think you're a Tank with +1 HP you just throw matches....

Stop throwing matches for god sake! I already disliked survivor on it's own because it's boring, brainless gameplay but you people throwing matches because AFTERALL IT'S TRUE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY is freaking annoying!

Even when i play Killer it's freaking annoying having survivors just give up cause of some lame excuse....

Heck, maybe DH needs to return to how it originally was. If this seriously is being caused by a perk used by 75% of survivors, maybe it wasn't a good idea to nerf it in the first place.

    1. DH is still great, I'm still enjoying it.

    2. People are definitely over reacting about the changes 100%

    3. It does feel like people are throwing matches, from DCs to suicide and even just players walking round the map not doing anything.

I'm undecided if people are throwing or mmr is so misplaced atm and I'm getting full on new players with little understanding, feels like both tbh

At some point, if the game isn't fun, you are asking them to do something they don't want to do. It's kind of like your boss asking you to come in on your day off.

DCs are crazy right now, true. But the game feels different. Shifted from a chase-based to efficiency based. Us solos are not efficient. When I see the match shift to unwinnable I just go for chases and hope someone gets hatch. That shift happens a lot earlier now.

As soon as I stop seeing people complaining about it, maybe?

Also - you're exaggerating. Solo needs love, some stuff was overnerfed (welcome to killer life, cough Wraith, Freddy, Cenobite) but SWF is fine. Once solos get their help, the game will be better than it was before by miles.

Well, yeah? It's the same reason that killers still bring up infinites, prenerf OoO and the like. When something completely busted stays unchanged for ages, people tend to remember that - especially when the other side are complaining about the shoe being on the other foot.

The issue wasn't the nerf. It needed a nerf.

The issue was that BHVR took too long to nerf it, leading to basically every survivor and their mum running it and relying on it. It's going to take a few months to adjust.

And people don't like having to adjust.

The incentives should fix this. I'm actually having fun with survivor right now, but I was never a big DH user.

Revert the nerf to the DS stun, give solos some tools to coordinate and figure out a way to discourage hard tunneling and we're reaching a pretty good spot.

So you will keep on telling lies? Great. And i think mods wont even do anything against it, as always. Also SWF isnt fine, as SWF isnt just 4man squads highly coordinating on comms with equal high skill level. Playing duo is the the same misery. playing 3man can be the same misery. playing random skill 4man is the same misery. Stop assuming SWF is always those below 1% top teams.

Nothing to do with DH, gen speeds, what killer it is. Its 99% of the time, because of my teammates and what they're doing or not doing.

For example: I had a match yesterday on Garden of Joy where as soon as the match started, 1 of my teammates started going to every pallet and dropping it. Not in a chase or anything. Started with the shack pallet. I aint putting up with that, I'd rather leave asap and get put into a much better quality match (hopefully).

    Lies...what?

    Yes, you were exaggerating.

Also - I think you mean 'stop assuming SWF is always top 1% teams', otherwise you are agreeing with me. But the issue is that, even in your example, the duo and the PUG have a substantial advantage compared to solos, if I recall - a 15% higher escape ratio. That's silly, and needed reigning in.

If people have the ability to put together a coordinated squad and queue up together with zero MMR adjustments to compensate, then the game will have to be balanced around this scenario. And since the devs have said that they aren't doing the 'SWFs get a higher MMR for matchmaking' thing, this is the alternative. We buff killers, see what the numbers look like and take it from there.

If SWFs escape more (15% you say) then they will have higher MMRs from their consistent escapes by roughly the same percentage.... so they would be matched accordingly. MMR doesnt and never has worked btw, ive been matched a couple times against otzdarva on his main like 8-10k hr account and im maybe slightly above average with my pc account only having about 500 hours....

Maybe I should add a big "This is a joke" image/title on everything, cuz gosh, some people can't take a joke.

Anyways. No, I don't have much regard for my other teammates. Because I bought this game for MY money so that I can have fun. So if I'm in a match that is extremely boring or frustrating, which rarely happens, I don't see any reason to stay in it cuz that's just gonna make it worse.

Ok first off DH never made an survivor a god. Killers could still catch survivors who used it. It just made it a tiny bit harder for them to do so.

Also when a Survivor is being either camped by the killer or none of the other survivors are even bothering to save them. There is no reason for a survivor not to kill themselves on hook yo get out of the match to move onto another one.

What really bugs me is Survivors who refuse to even attempt to save me until I force myself into the 2nd hook phase by trying to get off it and than they finally come to save me. I shouldn't have to do that to get saved by a survivor or for a survivor to quit being lazy and actually try and save me on 1st hook. When a survivor gets hooked, one person should save them while the others work on Gens or avoid the killer. If it's down to only 2 besides u. One does a Gen the other saves u.

The issue with survivors quiting at the end of the day is cause most survivors don't want to work as a team with their team and only do what benefits them in the end.

I think you missed my point.

The issue is that...let's say a player plays solo and gets 'x' MMR. They then group up with their mates of similar MMRs - still at 'x' MMR - and the killer that would have been challenging for them in solo queue now gets stomped.

MMR absolutely does work. It's just not 100% effective 100% of the time. Lobby dodges still make it poop the sheets, and when there are people waiting in the queue for a long time it can sometimes just give up and grab whoever. This was partially fixed in the last SBMM update.

Maybe you should adjust your goalposts for what you consider "unwinnable". With killers being buffed it's going to be much more rare to have what was considered a normal dbd match before, where the killer gets absolutely curbstomped. I've been playing mostly survivor since the update hit and have had some real squeakers, including one where all 4 of us barely got out with everyone on death hook. It was much more exciting than the previous patch survivor matches where sometimes I'd hardly see the killer. I keep trying until I'm dead or the last one left.

First off DH meant any noob could get away really easily. Everyone and their mum used DH because of how strong and easy it was.

People don't do rescues in SoloQ, that is true but it has nothing to do with Camping, it has to do with SOLOQ mentality. Survivors do 2 things: They are SELFISH and only care about themselves and when things don't go their way they are SELFISH and kill themselves and throw matches.

Low MMR Survivor is Hell not because Killers are OP or overbuffed but because people don't play well at all... Y

10 more seconds to do a gen isn't an "OMG we can't win" scenario, Prove Thyself and Toolboxes still exist...

Most survivors, which are CASUALS, are just freaking throwing matches instead of playing.

I get it if people just wanna have fun but one things is having fun the other is just throwing the match for everyone else.

Even as killer i hate survivors who throw matches. It makes my win feel like a cheat, i'll never know what kind of plays and decisions i'd have to make if they'd played the match with the intent to win.

There's no middle ground in DbD, it's either Low MMR Hell or High MMR Efficiency...

    I doubt it.

I watch most of Otz's streams and I've literally never seen you. Not even once. Do you have a video link?

Are you sure that this isn't someone with his name? I've certainly run into a few 'Fauxdarvas'.

Yes but if a killer is camping u or no survivors want to save u. As a survivor, there is no motivation to continue the match at that point and not off yourself on the hook. Plus u can't really say that a survivor who kills themselves on hook is screwing over his team by doing so when their team would rather leave them to die than save them. If a Survivor chooses to sacrifice themselves, it is because their team doesn't want to save them or be team players and if ur team isn't willing to help u off hook. There is no reason to stay in the match for u.

I'm a survivor main and I hate it when people throw survivors who off themselves on the hook under the bus and claim u are ruining it for ur team when usually the reason survivors off themselves on the hook is cause their team won't save them from the hook and when they won't. They make it so that is ur only option, not gonna stay in a match as a survivor on hook until it kills me if noone wants to save me from it on my team. So instead of blaming that survivor, u should blame the team they are on for not helping them.

Main Survivor always say: "you dont need 4k every time" ... So "you dont need survive every match" Cheers. But, fine, casual players and solo will suffer a lot. I expect some changes this week, maybe BHVR will announce tomorrow, for release tuesday. Game is fine, changes are necessariy, but BHVR at first point just should have nerfed meta survivors perks, and look the rate, kill rate will be better? ok stop, ohh not better? change a little bit more and test. I thinks we had a lot of big changes in the same moment, and, i think, some changes doesnt work right expected, also i think these "helps" icon for solo should release together it. People are frustrating right now.

I feel that. I have moved my goal post to "have fun". I'm not DCing but i am saying "I kinda get it". I understand people's salty distain for the current state of things. The game has undergone a big change. It's not game breaking but play style breaking for some. Longer gens against more regression don't make the game more fun.

Lately I'll get pumped if someone gets out based on our collective efforts. Plus you can afford to spectate, no que for soloQ.

Sometimes throwing the match is the best option when you solo q and the gens dont progress, and survivors seem clueless or scared to take any action...its best to not waste time and move on the next match, hopefully RNG will pair you up with better players. If not, repeat until a good match is found

Imagine seeing an update where killers get 20 buffs/benefits over survivors and everyone saying that the only reason the game is broken is because of DH being nerfed.
