Why is nurse being hated on so much this year? yall waited 3 years since her rework in 2019
it makes no sense, up until Sadako patch nurse complaints were never as numerous as they are now.

Multiple new perks came out in the last year or so that have a strong synergy with her power.
The bug fixes made her more consistent.
They saw fit to buff her strongest add ons and give her a less strong but still annoying 3rd blink add on.
They massively buffed killer base kit which pushes her even higher.
Could just the me but it seems like more people have learned to play her to the point of being proficient enough to slaughter most solo queue teams.
Idk that's all I could think of for possible reasons at the moment.

Nurse kind of has a lot of indirect buffs mainly from perks synergizing with her. I'm not exactly on the side calling for massive nerfs nor the side saying she's "pErFeCtLy FiNe GiT gUd NuB!"
This is just my speculation, but I feel like just after her nerf people didn't realize the only thing that was meaningfully tuned down was extra chain blinks, and that range was still busted but it was "~nerfed so it's fine guyz!"
We haven't had a killer nearly as powerful as nurse (blight being one of the most recent) in a while. Especially with Sadako and Dredge being a bit subpar in terms of chase.
There's really a lot of factors that we probably don't know. If there's one thing I know the DBD community and the stock market has in common, it's that they're impossible to predict.

I forgot how powerful Lethal Pursuer Starstruck Nurse was on 2019

Ontop of what people have already answered, there seems to be a massive increase of nurses in games now. Before I hardly would ever see a nurse, now I'd say I see her once every 3-5 games. And 90% of the time they run the strongest builds possible with her range addons and play as if there's a gun pointed to their head that will shoot if they don't 4k

Bug fixes made her played more and made her better. Starstruck Nurse + Floods of Rage Nurse exist now. Range addons are more powerful than they used to be prior to her bugfixes and they were already super good. It's hard not to complain about her and how she breaks the game when taking her to the extremes. Not to mention killers in general are stronger now.
I don't even think Nurse needs a ton of adjustments in order to be balanced, nor do I think she needs a ground-up rework. I'm fine with her being different and in fact I think it's cool that we have one killer that is different from the rest. She just has certain aspects that could be toned down and that make her too strong especially when paired with certain perks. That's all.

Killers who wanted to play all the other characters quit. People who wanted to win put in the time to play a killer who hasn't been grievously nerfed to unplayability. Ergo, the number of Nurse killer players who aren't instant survivor-wins increased. Then, as MMR shook out, survivors who stomped the entire rest of the cast eventually ran into the top tier and got their over-inflated performance stomped right back down by all those Nurses who could ignore the crummy maps, quadruple health states, W-holding strat, and endless looping around way too many pallets.
Now that the new patch may have made other killers more viable, the "kill nurse so I can keep winning" crowd are complaining about EVERYTHING not just Nurse anymore.

Naturally she is being played more so you will see more comments about her. It isn't Rocket Science. And just like the wave of Undying, Tinkerer, Ruin, Blights the new Starstruck, Infectious, Scourge: Floods of Rage and range add ons nurse is a pita. No one wants to play against her. Good riddance.
