My survivor build is still second chance perks.
No it's not because I'm bad and nor is it because the games imbalanced. I simply run second chance perks because it fixes core issues with DBD.
I will keep running DS, OTR, Adrenaline and DH until you fix the tunneling.
Reward killers going for separate hooks on different people and punish those who dont.
It's not so much about dying but more about the lack of fun, chases are fun sure but I want to experience the whole game.
I get killers tunnel because it's the best strat, and yes even after the patch its needed against good players it's just not fun.
I let go the blight used a map offering, I let go he used alchemy etc. But just going after me all game isnt fun, while my team is to blame farming me and imbalances still exist we should really try fix the tunneling issues...
Until then my meta will always be second chance.

My survivor build is: do not play solo untill they fix solo-q problems. Works for me.

My Survivor build also contains 2 second chance Perks, tho mine are way, way less meta.
Flip-Flop and Tenacity work pretty well together, but they still kinda suck

That sounds like a pretty great build. More people should run OTR and DS together imo. Yeah it can be 2 useless perks if killer doesnt tunnel but if they do, it would be devastating.
And new DH is pretty awesome. It takes precision and timing now but no other perk lets you get out of a really sticky situation at the press of a button.
Overall, pretty neat build, i dont see an issue with it as a killer main. Specially now that they are more in line with other perks. Well expect DS, that probably needs a bump up to 4 seconds of stun.

You run Power struggle?

My build went from "Woo, SC, BL and Resilience" to "Woo, COH, BL and Resilience" :)

Solo Q is fine, feel it's more of a SBMM and entitlement issue tbh.
Either you get people that no idea what they're doing or you get someone give up... that's the issue with solo Q imo not really balance, still survivor sided tbh.
It's an okay build, it helps do what its suppose to do but its definitely not a build I'd want to run but more feels forced just to make sure I can stay in a game and not be tunneled out.
DH is fun to use though, that's probably the one perk I picked because of its run and rewarding playstyle, just a shame the others are feel forced. But I'm glad people dont mind builds as much now

I did not touch the game for 5 days, i don't think i will play it for a while. They need to fix issues, game is not fun at all.
Maybe it is matchmaking issue, i don't know. But whatever is it, they need to fix.

I dont find killers slugging much tbh, it's more of a hard tunnel as they dont expect DS anymore.
Definitely a fun build but I'd never get use out of it sadly

DS is literally useless at 3 seconds, there is no meta all perks are pretty boring, closest to meta are OTR, prove thyself and CoH

What's not fun? In your experience anyway.
For me it's the tunneling and the games where my team just have no intention on playing properly or try to win.
My team still win far more than my team loses (as a solo q) but those losses are such clear losses from people giving up/quitting or having low mmr players versing high mmr killers etc.

I have more tunnellers and campers and sadly OTR is not that good perk. Because they are hitting you after you get unhooked. So it does not help you so much.
New DS is just joke.
So i will wait at least for DS fix. They should make it 5 seconds again.

I mean it's not.. it gets you to a pallet unless it's a dead zone and even then youd be dead with 5seconds.. plus is all about wasting the killers time.
And perks arent boring they just arent op...

5 seconds gave survivors a chance at least.
3 seconds is not good at all

Well that's why I'm running both to counter base game issues currently, I do wish we could move away from tunneling and kills to separate chases and hooks.
I'd rather a better DS built in so for example survivors now get base DS, lasts for 4 seconds. However DS now has 2 stacks, this gives you the ability to use DS after a second hook stage or have the ability to give a teammate who doesnt have DS your extra stack upon unhooking.
Would be pretty cool if your teammate is getting hard tunneled and I can give them a stack of my DS to try help them

It's not good but it's better tthan nothing especially as no killer expects in now. I'd personally make DS basekit and change the perk like I said in the above comment.
I want longer games where multiple hooks across all players is encouraged and rewarded
0 -
I would say it should be back to 5 seconds
I want longer games with multiple hooks too but camping and tunneling is the antithesis of that. They have to make something better that discourages tunneling and camping and being a somewhat unviable strategy outside of endgame

Don't have it

Off the Record, Adrenaline, and Dead Hard are still all really good Perks. If you can time the Dead Hard reliably then great. I wouldn't use DS anymore though. It doesn't buy you enough space to be worth the spot and you'd be better off using something else.

I hope you can get used to the new build quickly.

Well SBMM for kills is a big issue that caused this as it's easy to manipulate kills over hooks so it makes balancing an issue.
I still get use from DS, but I'd much rather the suggestion I made earlier in this post to someone about a whole DS rework
1 -
i mean killers don't get rewarded for isolated hooks. they only get rewarded if they score 3 hooks on same survivor hence why tunneling will always be prominent in the game.
if they changed the system to be based off number of hook across entire team, than killers would hook anyone. Like for example, if entire team has 12 hooks and every 4 hooks, a killer kills someone on their 4th hook.
I mean devour hope is like that. you get 5 hooks and 6th hook becomes a mori as does 7th, 8th and 9th hook become a mori. i mean they did say they want rework mori's at one point in last years anniversary stream though it seems that they've decided to make mori's only for end game last kill. i think they talked about as something called the finisher mori, something like that.

Yea I really hope so xd

Check this out man....
So it's called a meta, and the meta is going to fluctuate based upon what the meta currently is. Currently, it's very good idea to bring the loadout you bring. That's what is going to get you the most mileage. As Killer's get tired of always hitting someone with End from OTR and other perks, they will stop tunneling. THEN, once tunneling has become a bad idea, the killer's will adapt and begin assaulting other areas of the "meta" that aren't covered. Then they start winning because they are detouring your meta, so then YOU need to adapt, and change your loadout to deal with the new killer meta, which will then rotate and become a new meta. and so, the meta continually changes, certain loadouts shine in certain situations, and certain loadouts will fail in certain situations. But it is GOOD that there is a general, covers all the does most of what you need it to do build, that you can always fall back on and THAT is going to be the build you are currently running. It is good, that a general build is the best build.
