Good job with last patch
Second worst fall in history of Dead by Daylight and counting.
Good job devs.
Still think you doing good work?

I mean, to be fair, it's only been a week. This could also be from the anniversary event being over.
I'm curious what the numbers will be in a couple of weeks though !

I think it's pretty sad that 6 days after their patch the entire post-patch playercount increase was gone. Past 2 days the peak playercount has actually been lower than it was pre-patch.
We won't get another proper update for 6-8 weeks so I don't see how the numbers will increase.

I honestly feel like it was the worst and best patch in the history.
It's the best because balance was finally brought to DBD - no more unpunishable t-bagging, bullying etc. by the survs
It's the worst because the grind was increased to the point I cannot even estimate how many hundreds of games will it take to get 1 char to P3 to get his perks.

That's still only the steam counts. Do we have any data on consoles and Epic?

Good riddance if it cleans up toxic bad players.
7 -
I think it "cleans up" more beginners and casuals than toxic players.

Tell me you don´t know how to read charts. Without telling me, you don´t know how to read charts.

This! :(

We'll see. My assumption is DH was carrying a lot of people. Now that its gone and gens take longer to be completed, there's way less room to bullying.

I think they're doing great work! They gained 17,000 players last month, and even with the 10,000 gone this month they still retained 7,000 with the new patch. There was also a lot returning to try out the new changes, and it seems quite a few of them stayed.
It's the second biggest drop, but it follows the biggest ever increase they had the month before. So yes, they're doing okay in my book.

This is a fair take.

A good job, yes ... but everyone forgott new players, i think dbd was never friendly for new players, but now it is really hard.

It's a shamenwe don't have data to confirmnhow many were new and how many were returning, and in terms of who is remaining what percentage is new and what is returning.

Nope. Numbers spiked up again after the patch, then have been trending down after only 2 or 3 days and haven't stopped.
Not a good result for a patch that was meant make gameplay refreshing.

Sill doing better than March, April, and May. And, current data from this week shows active players have been static.
Were you concerned at all of the drop from September 2021 to April 2022?

What was the worst fail? The mettle of man or boil over nerfs? You'll get used to not having dead hard, just give it time.

This patch was definitely an increase in player base since sbmm was put in. It got more players in than the ringu chapter.
It was a patch to get players back in fast because all players have asked for the meta to be shaken up. We have A LOT of player in the game even with a few leaving. We are in the positive compared to 4 months ago.

Regression to the mean. We just had a 60% increase over the last two months because of Dredge and the anniversary event and such. This is that short term gain receding back to the average.

Damn didn’t know DH had everything to do with the reason people are leaving.. not at all the fact that Camping/Tunneling are running more rampant than ever because all of those baby killers who needed their hand held can now relax and not have to understand mechanics in the game or how to run tiles.
They can now stack passive crutches *clears throat* effects… to slow gens down and slow the game down without much contribution coming from a word called skill.
Yep DH is responsible for all of it. 🙄
@Mert_MK I feel like I’m in the twilight zone.

The new DH is understimated, you now have to time it well and the reward is better than before.. I have succed at triggering it many times as survivor and i have seen survivors triggering it well as killer. So if some people are really leaving because of this change, i think it will do good to the game, because they are probably the same people that DC when they face a killer they don't like, or fail something and instantly DC lol
The only nerf it hurts me and i miss is the old iron will, that was the true most powerful perk, but i get why it got nerfed.

The vibe i'm getting from these people
3 -
Wow, it's almost like we're seeing the same post-anniversary attrition we always have, without an iconic killer release?
So glad that people aren't being hysterical about these changes...

You realize you dont have to get them to P3 if you get them to P1 all 3 of their perks get unlocked an all charcters at tier 1 and then you can level them up in the bloodweb like normal.

"Second worst fall in history"
Yeah, and you forgot to mention it was right after the biggest gain they had in history as well. 53,34% in June.

Those camping and tunneling killers? My man you are playing against switched over survivor mains. Killers didn't up and decide to play scummy that's your team doing that bullshit

Entitled survivors
1 -
Yeah, sure because Camping and Tunneling just started with this patch right?
Camping and Tunneling was never seen before this patch. Nope not at all. 🙂
1 -
That makes it worse lol.

Worst fall in history of DBD was -25,05% on February 2017.
Today it's so far -24.12%
Come on...you can do it. :P

Just announce the old Dead Hard return and watch those baby survivors come crawling back lol.
1 -
Lmao you think the people leaving are the toxic players?
It's quite the opposite I suspect. The most toxic people in this game were the bully squad swfs who only played to punish instead of just win.
Those players are not affected this patch, the casuals and newbies are the ones leaving.

Seems pretty stable to me, outside of the natural event and patch spikes.
Raw numbers don't tell the whole story. Project W incoming, playercount will skyrocket again in a few weeks.
