Boon Totem Rework Concept (Warped Totems)
Boons (and Hexes) need to feel powerful again, otherwise they stay low risk/low reward for Boons & high risk/mid reward for Hexes, which defeats the purpose. The original design of both I feel was always to be high risk/high reward, and that's the way I feel is the most fun for both parties.
I know there are bigger issues to deal with in the game's current state, but I don't believe that negates the need for a change like this. I tried to incorporate all the constructive comments I received on my first post into the graphic.
There were also a lot of comments saying it's too complicated, and while I get that it might seem like a lot, you may just not realize how much nuance there is to the games mechanics that you've simply learned over time. And regardless, it's my perspective on game design that good ideas shouldn't be held back by the fear of being too intricate.
