End Game Filter & Why BHVR Need To Fix It
Look, I understand toxicity isn't wanted in Dead By Daylight, especially in End Game Chat, but can BHVR please look into it, why is a word blocked for me, but the person I'm playing with can say it just fine, the word that is blocked for me is also just a generic perk name, BHVR have allowed the frustrations of casual conversations being ruined last way too long and it needs to be looked into.

Once in pre game lobby we had Jeff, David, Bill, and me playing Felix and I typed "look at all these sexy dudes" and it showed up as "Look at ### ##### #### #####" Like a bro can't even compliment the hot men in the lobby these days

I mean, I could add them on steam and message them that way but it's built in, I shouldn't have to do that to say "hope you got your pip" on a game that's already over when they were in chat that second and would have been more relevant.

It’s just incompetence and/or lack of caring. If anyone put any effort whatsoever into fixing it, it would function just fine. I’d prefer that BHVR just get rid of the end-game chat altogether. The only purpose it serves is as a platform for toxicity.

The presence of the filter isn't the issue, the draconian level of censorship it provides is the problem.

Just drop the whole "clever" part of the system. Just use a classic blacklist of words + make filter dodging a reportable offense, and add common filter-dodging variations to the list over time.
I don't want to see the peak wacky that is an end game chat where someone else can write "rancor" no problem but when I do it's filtered no matter how many times I try, how does that make any sense lmao. That's not some awkward "you can't type assassin because it has "ass" as a substring sorry" situation, it makes absolutely zero sense.

I've given up #### at this point. The filter has been an issue for at least a year if not more. I don't get why us adults can't have an option to turn it off.

I'm beyond annoyed with it, I've seen insults get past it, but when I try to thank someone, or wish someone luck I get filtered for it.

Yeah, it's really annoying. It regularly censors the names of Characters, Perks and Addons, which makes it hard to talk about the match in post-game chat.
