Developers love tunnelling
Which developer is it that plays the game just for tunnelling?
Nerfing the survivor perks to attempt to prolong their time in the game & seeing the percentage of tunnelling go up. Congrats to you.

You know, tunneling can be mitigated if you run OTR right?
So if you're being chased that hard, then that's a lot of time down the Drain for killers.

frankly i routinely loop a killer for 1-2 gens as long as im not in a dead zone (i often run into dead zones, my weak spot as a player and thats MY fault not the killers.)
i know a guy who routinely loops the killer for 3-5 gens.
killers can tunnel all they want. they will eventually get in an mmr where someone breaks their ankles. you will eventually derank to find killers you can loop.
point blank tunneling isn't countered by perks like dead hard or ds. those are second chance perks.
tunneling is countered by looping better than the killer chases.
this is why evader is an emblem on survivor side.

OTR is mitigated by camping, actually! Throw in a few stacks of STBFL and you've barely got a chance at a chase unless you happened to get hooked by some good resources. Killers who really don't like a survivor and know/assume they have OTR won't wait out BT, they'll go for the hit ASAP to get it out of the way and have an easier time downing them.

Hopefully they buff DS asap like next tuesday, OTR+ DS is a decent anti tunnel combo but current DS is absolute garbage that's the only issue, the main strat right now is tunneling someone hard early in the game for a free win

Also, OTR is a DLC perk. Not everyone wants to invest 6$ and 15 hours of grinding to get OTR on their characters.

So the killer gives you all your chases in one stretch.
🤔
It only seems like a bad thing if you're failing to prevent or escape every one of those interactions.

The Killer often looses 3-4 gens in the process. Fair trade.

You can buy the character with shards. For no money.

I guess, but it's still a lot of grinding to get there and to make the perk available on others.

Bold of you to assume MMR works. It doesn't matter that they'll eventually reach an MMR where they just get their ankles broken, because then they enter a vicious cycle of going up and down without learning anything of value.

The game didn't really change at all. Guess what I was proxy camping with STBFL before patch, its been one of my favourite perks in the current meta of impossible to defend gen rushing. The entire game has revolved around hook camping for about a year.
OTR is a better version of BT because it doesn't rely on teammates and you have the added bonus of haste from the basekit unhook. They could possibly revert the 2 second nerf on DS stun.
Simple fact is the game barely changed, all the same strategies for both sides still work and the meta stayed exactly the same. Some slowdown perks had a name change and Borrowed Time is now called OTR. Genrush/Tunnel/Proxy/Force hook states.

That's just worse for the killer then,no?
He's wasting so much time on one person while 2 others are just killing gens while he's stuck in one spot.

Alright so we have to waste a perk slot just to combat a balance issue?

Well,it's not really a waste if you're using it for a scenario you know for sure you're gonna get value out of it from. It's 1 perk spot and that leaves you with 3,otr being incredibly stacked with things to make tunneling a pain in the rear to do. If you can't give up 1 perk slot (for a very strong perk mind you) then that's honestly on you. I run it and have a smoother time getting away and staying away.

People were running BT and DS for years I think everyone can manage with a buffed version of self BT for a bit

That's what I was thinking too lol

... it's not? Just spend your 9000 iri shards that you get from playing

Kinda funny. The dev themselves never come to say anything about like tunneling or not.
I think this is just mindset of people playing survivor. Its all in their head.
The objective of this game is to kill survivor and survivor try to run away and do gens and escape.
I think all the forum post about killer side or survivor side are just in their head. And they have this rule that each side need to do this and that.
However, the game objective is very simple for each side which they can use to their advantage in order to win.

Survivor objective is doing gens, yes? Survivor can do multiple gens isnt that a thing? Their objectives are difference.
And the game will never be balance with 4 vs 1.

The killer should be trying to kill, and survivors survive. This is true, but behavior needs to be careful maintaining the fun for each side AND the competiveness for each side. No one will play a game that isn't fun. If the meta eventually devolves into 100% face camping and 100% tunnelled out of the game once injured, the game will on that day, die. Because it is fun for absolutely no survivors, not the survivor being faced camped and not the gen jockeys staring at their skill checks during the face camp.
So you are right, but wrong at the same time. The mistake you are making is thinking that the survivors are trying to convince YOU of their plight. I'd wager almost all of them are hoping to draw the eye of BHVR and could careless what the killers have to say on the matter.

Yeah what's more work tunneling the same survivor out or swapping targets. I love how people try to talk like tunneling is this big risk.
