What the actual heck are these perk changes this update

Seriously, I'm getting more and more baffled the more I read.


-Mettle of Man went from an extremely situational perk that gave a good reward if you did a lot of throwing earlier in the match, to taking slightly less effort for a much less useful reward - one that doesn't stack with other endurance effects, can be bypassed by certain killers, tells the killer you have it, and most importantly, gets lost if you progress the game in any way, so it can't be saved except for running around like an idiot while informing the killer that you can't do objectives at all and are therefore perfectly safe to ignore. Like, Mettle was already dead, but this is just desecrating its corpse. Who thought Mettle needed a nerf?

-Thana went from being OP on Plague and Legion and meh on everyone else to being still nearly as good on Plague and Legion and completely unusable on everyone else, when the ideal would have been to make it weaker on the whole but better for killers who can't reliably keep everyone injured. This does not change its problem perk status, just makes it worthless on everyone who isn't Legion or Plague.

-People wanted the info back on Pain Resonance. Instead, they kept the info off of Pain Resonance, but returned the DMS/Pain Res combo every survivor hated. Which incidentally does give the information back on Pain Resonance, but only if you're comboing it with DMS.


Meanwhile, radio silence on the buffed-but-actually-nerfed Botany, Pharmacy, and Calm Spirit. Or Ruin, Spine Chill, DS, Iron Will... I'm sorry, but what is even happening here?
