i know exactly nothing about Wesker but his eyes activated basically all of my simping neurons so i'll probably buy him if he's fun on the PTB

Im not super familiar with Weskers abilities, but im always excited to see how the devs decide to bring abilities from existing IPs into the game.
Being able to throw and tackle survivors sounds like a lot of fun too.

I have to agree with this. Nemesis was a good choice as he still really fits the scary/horror aspect of DBD; Wesker's just a tall dude wearing sunglasses. He just doesn't look particularly scary or foreboding like most of the killers in DBD, especially when you look at how creepy more recent killers are (Dredge, Sadako, Artist).
I will look forward to a new killer and new perks though, it's always a nice refresh for the game.

I'm definitely excited for it from the things I have read about Wesker's ability and the new perks. Plus my lore accurate "only survivor left" Yun-Jin build of Left Behind, Sole Survivor, and Self-Preservation is now complete with Low Profile.

The last Resident Evil chapter gave us one of the most annoying killers in the game (who also has barely functional audio/animations), one of the least popular maps in the game (which was also disabled for like three months upon release), and a whole slew of performance issues that the game never quite recovered from.
So no, not terribly excited.
