Perks are an Issue, But so are Some Players

As I type this I'm actively in this trial.

First survivor DC'd on first down.

Second and Third survivors went AFK and eventually DC'd after doing one gen. They could've just finished the gens and left with BPs/pips as I wasn't hooking them after each got two, just giving them BPs from the occasional chase/hit so they can heal each other up.

Last survivor finished a gen and went AFK. I downed them and took them to the hatch, dropped/picked them up repeatedly until they auto wriggled out, and they're just AFK standing on it.

I'm playing Wraith, btw. Not Legion, Nurse, Blight, Plague, Bubba. Wraith. I usually let all the survivors live and escape after double hooking and collecting some gen kicks/hits/chases off of them (unless they're being toxic dicks, then they can hang), as I know a lot of survivors have a hard time getting BPs.

This is just rude.

Yeah they're being ridiculous but you could also simply hook him. Like what bizarre point are you trying to prove here by refusing to hook him?

That some players will whine and moan about how hard something is or unfun it is, but when it's given to them on a silver platter they act the same. They couldn't be bothered to put forth the least amount of effort needed for likely the highest gains they have gotten in many trials (they all seemed to be lower MMR solo queue).

It's not uncommon for me to see DCs/hook suicides when I'm putting a lot of pressure on players, or if it's an SWF group having their tactics used against them (flashlight crew realizing I'm running Lightborn just for them; faking a chase on one survivor then downing another while they're going for the heal on someone already down; letting one survivor lead me by the nose at the start of the trial to burn through most/all of the pallets on the map so they have none/none in the main areas in the later game; etc.).

This is outright laziness, though. The only other guess is they're part of the player base that believes throwing matches will get X nerfed. Which is moot, since DCs are excluded from that analysis.

I left the game running to go grab some dinner, when I came back the person had taken the hatch at some point. So they could at least press a button in the end.

I like doing something similar, when i see one killer obviously struggling to use their ability for a daily or challenge, I'll usually try to give em one, especially if its endgame and they didnt get any downs or anything. Sometimes they'll even realize and keep picking me up and letting me wiggle in place so they can get their hits in, then just let me go. its wholesome in a really awkward way.

Though I don't know that I'd go so far as to die, when I see newer killers or those that are obviously struggling (and have determined it's not a bot) I'll let them get some hits and hooks in, when I could have looped them or hid.

It doesn't really pertain to the situation I was in earlier, though. I was just trying to go easy on them since they seemed to need help and one of the survivors dropped out early.
