Pyramid Head Add-On Pass
Hello BHVR! When you guys introduced loadout slots, I had a lot of fun creating unique builds for all the killers. However, the one killer I struggled to come up with interesting builds for was Pyramid Head. His add-ons are just boring and are in desperate need of an add-on pass. So I did just that. Here's what I came up with (I added one extra option for each rarity in case some of my suggestions aren't feasible). Thank you for your time and consideration!
Pink 1: Rites of Judgement stance reveals the auras of survivors within 8 meters. Rites of Judgement stance grants Undetectable.
Pink 2: Punishment of the Damned can break pallets.
Pink 3: Rites of Judgement trails inflict Exposed for 10 seconds. [Editor's Note: Per my follow-up reply, this add-on would be broken when combined with Brown 4. Please disregard this suggestion.]
Purple 1: When sending a survivor to a Cage of Atonement, the auras of all other survivors are revealed for 6 seconds; the auras of tormented survivors are shown in yellow (buffed Iridescent Seal of Metatron).
Purple 2: Rites of Judgement trails inflict Oblivious for 60 seconds (buffed Lost Memories Book).
Purple 3: Punishment of the Damned can damage non-regressing generators, causing them to explode, lose 5% progress, and begin regressing.
Purple 4: The Executioner immediately returns to the Rites of Judgement stance after the first Punishment of the Damned attack (allowing the Executioner to immediately resume carving trails and/or do a second Punishment of the Damned attack).
Purple 5: Survivors afflicted by torment can no longer remove torment by rescuing another survivor from a Cage of Atonement (the rescued survivor still has their torment removed).
Green 1: Rites of Judgement trails reveal the auras of survivors for 5 seconds.
Green 2: Survivors damaged by Punishment of the Damned are afflicted with the Hemorrhage and Mangled status effects.
Green 3: The speed of Punishment of the Damned is increased by 100%.
Green 4: Survivors damaged by Punishment of the Damned are afflicted with the Broken status effect for 60 seconds.
Green 5: The width of Punishment of the Damned is now .5 meters (normally 1 meter). The range of Punishment of the Damned is now infinite.
Green 6: Tormented survivors spread torment to other survivors when a healing action is completed on them or by them.
Yellow 1: Increases the range of Punishment of the Damned by 2.5 meters (currently Burning Man Painting and Wax Doll combined).
Yellow 2: Increases the duration of trails left by Rites of Judgement by 35 seconds (currently Mannequin Foot and Cinderella Music Box combined).
Yellow 3: Rites of Judgement trails inflict Blindness for 60 seconds (currently Rust-Colored Egg).
Yellow 4: Rites of Judgement is silent (activating power, dragging the Great Knife, and releasing power; not Punishment of the Damned)
Yellow 5: Survivors afflicted by torment will have duration of the barbed wire trail that follows them increased by 200%.
Yellow 6: Removes the turn rate restriction of Rites of Judgement.
Brown 1: Increases maximum duration of Rites of Judgement by 3.5 seconds (currently Tablet of the Oppressor and Spearhead combined).
Brown 2: Decreases time required to recharge Rites of Judgement by 7 seconds (currently Valtiel Sect Photograph and Forgotten Videotape combined).
Brown 3: Allows the Executioner to see the Punishment of the Damned path/range before firing.
Brown 4: The Executioner can no longer send tormented survivors to a Cage of Atonement nor execute tormented survivors with Final Judgement. The duration of trails left by Rites of Judgement is now infinite (100 total trail points on map still capped; oldest trails are replaced with newest trails when cap is reached). Trails left by Rites of Judgement are no longer restricted by generators, hooks, exit gates, hatch, or basement. Bloodpoints granted for Judgement are increased by 100%.
Brown 5: Increases the duration of Killer Instinct when triggered by Rites of Judgement by 2.5 seconds (currently Scarlet Egg and Misty Day, Remains of Judgement combined).

It occurred to me that Pink 3 and Brown 4 would be pretty broken, especially under hooks. Since I like the Brown 4 concept so much through, I'd disregard Pink 3.

I made an account on this forum two years ago SPECIFICALLY to call out how bad PH's addons and torment trails were. Since then, his power has been nerfed multiple times and his perks have been reworked (with middling success), but his addons have not been touched and he continues to have the single worst selection of useless, uninspired, and backwards-designed addons of any killer in the game.
So, naturally, any time I see somebody else posting suggestions on possible fixes, I like to take a look. Because basically anything would be better than what he has currently.
Just a couple of broad points:
- I don't think destroyed pallets is a good route, necessarily, since that's kind of Nemesis' thing. Something more in keeping with PH would be letting his shockwave apply the entity to a pallet, to make the survivor unable to drop it or unable to vault it or something.
- Trying to make PH stealth at all, be it through Oblivious or Undetectable is a mistake (and one that the current addons/perks are already making). He's the single tallest killer in the game, with a profile that can be seen over just about any non-indoors wall. Additionally, both his power and his default walk cycle is in the top 3 for loudest sound profile. He is EXTREMELY loud. You will never sneak up on anybody unless their speakers/headphones are muted. What he ACTUALLY needs is something that mutes his sounds, but they haven't done that yet for killers and they're definitely not going to do it for a killer as over-hyped as PH.
- Addons that provide aura-reading or lessen/remove some of the many, MANY restrictions built into his power are good in the broad sense, but they need to be significant. The current crop of addons affect his power is such microscopic ways that they are completely imperceptible. Your values look fine, but it's just important to note that addons need to feel like they're doing SOMETHING, instead of nothing.
Sadly, none of these suggestions will be taken to heart (if read at all) by anybody in a position and mind-set to fix PH's numerous deficiencies. Still, I respect the passion and desire to see him improved.

There can't be 3 pink Add-ons.

@Adjatha Appreciate the feedback and I respect your passion as well! Believe it or not, I've already gotten a BHVR dev to check out this post. He said these add-ons seem really interesting and seem to encourage a lot of cool playstyles, even if he finds some of them broken in his opinion. He said he'd pass it along to the relevant designers if/when Pyramid Head's add-ons are being looked at and they're looking for ideas. Fingers crossed!
@R1ch4rd_N1x0n That was intentional. I mentioned at the top of my original post that I included an extra add-on at each rarity to get some more ideas on the board in case some of my suggestions aren't feasible. I also mentioned in my follow-up comment that Pink 3 would be broken with another suggested add-on anyway so I'd just discard Pink 3 as a suggestion.

@Adjatha @R1ch4rd_N1x0n Hey guys, when I edited my original post, this thread bugged out and was hidden. It's back now and you should be able to reply. Sorry about that.

BHVR tried to stay faithful to the handful of Pyramid Head encounters in SH2. Basically he pops up in totally unexpected areas to terrify you for a short time. Of course this is only really shown through Trail of Torment, the Obsidian Goblet, and the Lost Memories Book. The execution with his add-ons are underwhelming to say the least and his breathing is a dead giveaway when it comes to camping a gen. I think I would prefer it if his add-ons revolved around tracking survivors and keeping them oblivious. Kind of like Nemesis.
Also I'd prefer it if they incorporated his perks into his add-ons like they did for some of the other killers.

@Cybil It's interesting that you mention add-ons based on the killer's perks. When I was coming up with these ideas, I was looking through a lot of the add-on passes they've done as well as add-ons for recent killers. I was looking for patterns and types of add-ons that BHVR tends to incorporate. One of those patterns was add-ons based on that killers perks. So I did just that:
Pink 1 makes you Undetectable on command like Trail of Torment.
Green 4 makes survivors Broken like Forced Penance.
Green 6 punishes survivors for healing (if they're tormented) and Purple 2 inflicts Oblivious.
I aimed to hit the core elements of all 3 of Pyramid Head's perks in my add-ons, and I think I did just that.

I like them more than what we have at the moment.

Nice if so, but I'm not holding my breath. By this point, I've made my peace with PH being an addon-less killer.
Which, to be fair, is kind of a benefit in the new prestige system, where I have to spend 1.5 million bp to get three iri addons.

@Adjatha They've done an overall good job on regularly giving older killers add-on passes to make their add-ons more diverse and interesting. It's probably more likely than you think. We just need to be patient. I agree though that the new prestige system makes grinding add-ons more difficult. Luckily they just implemented an update so more rarer add-ons show up in early bloodwebs so that's a good start. I'd like them to add a choice to prestige or stay at level 50 in the future.
