Serious Question - Is AFKing on gens or "playing very poorly" Bannable?

Hey There,

I'm asking this question because I am very very tired of only playing against two or three killers. My last 50 or so games have mostly been "hug teching" blights and god nurses. I'm not sure what else to do to have some variety in the game other then just straight up throwing games. I play okay, by no means a god, and get out about 50% of the time, but its incredibly boring. I'm honestly not sure what else to do other then seriously just afking on a gen, that way im doing something, I'm just not making good plays. At the same time, I love playing with teammates that are decent at the game and know what they are doing.

This is by no means to get players with less skill, I enjoy a difficult game! However, there are 28 killers in DBD. I just want to play a Myers, trapper, Nemi, or really any other killers. Except clown, I play the worst against clown due to an medical issue and how his bottles affect my vision and basically unbalance me while playing him. imagine nearly falling out of your chair every time a bottle hits.

Anyways, just looking for tips one how to achieve more variety in my games without getting banned in the process.

Sounds dumb I know, but outside of starting a new account, I have no idea how many games I HAVE TO DIE IN A ROW before something different shows up consistently.

No, playing intentionally poorly is not bannable.

it’s called smurfing. It’s looked down upon by many in the community but it’s also something many people do (killers only playing for hooking everybody twice to not kill anyone and get higher mmr or survivors who just let themselves die)

you can always play normally til the end and just let yourself get caught by the way - mmr is only influenced by escaping or not after all. That way you don’t lose out on BP and don’t destroy the match for everyone else.
