Cross-play

Does anyone know if cross play between Epic and Steam works?

DbD has crossplay, as long as it is an updated version of normal DbD, you can play with anyone, chat is restricted for almost all platforms however, but not for Epic and Steam users.

If someone is on Epic and Steam, they can talk post-game, if they are on the platform that you arent (if you play on Steam and they place on Epic, vice versa), they will have an icon by their name indicating that they are using a different platform to play on, you can use this to tell if someone is playing on Epic or Steam based on what platform you play on.

Just to add: Windows Store and Stadia users are also able to use the chat in-game.

also, @OP, did you actually meant cross play (people playing together with different platforms) or cross progression (2 accounts from different platforms having the same progression) - because the later is possible for Epic and Steam but merging accounts is currently deactivated because of some bugs and we don’t know when it gets re enabled..
